Central Florida Zoo and Botantical Gardens

About this episode

Zoo Teacher, Taylor Nelson, and Volunteer Coordinator, Sierra Dillard, join us from the Central Florida Zoo, and bring a lesser Madagascar hedgehog tenrec named "Pippin." Interestingly enough, although the word 'hedgehog' is in its name, Pippin more closely resembles a shrew than a hedgehog, and is actually related to an elephant. Taylor and Sierra also talk about how you can celebrate Father's Day at the Zoo, Sunset at the Zoo, as well as a Night Hike at the Zoo, a great way to visit the Zoo without the heat and humidity. Get your tickets at www.centralfloridazoo.org or call (407) 323-4450.
