Cells: What are they?

For centuries, people wondered what makes up life. We can see arms, legs, leaves, or stems—but not everything living has those parts. The answer lies deeper, in something far smaller: cells.

Cells are the building blocks of life—tiny structures so small they often require a microscope to see. Some are microscopic, like bacteria, while others are massive in comparison, like an ostrich egg—the largest cell on Earth.

But where do cells come from? Science has confirmed what the Bible has declared all along: life comes from life. Cells don’t magically appear from chemicals over billions of years. They are designed with breathtaking complexity that points clearly to their Creator—Jesus Christ, who made all things visible and invisible.
