A former celebrity dentist turned meth addict has been identified as the man shot dead by police in Sydney's Potts Point after attacking two women. Forty-one-year-old Dr. Stephen Lynn broke into a unit complex on Tuesday morning, wielding a knife and assault of the victims in separate incidents. Police rushed to the scene after one woman called for help. They tried using a taser to stop Lynn, but it did not work. When he advanced on the officers, one fired a single shot, killing him on the spot. One victim, a photographer and mother of three named Chloe Paul, fought back against Lynn using her boxing skills. He had pinned her down, beaten her, and tried to choke her while demanding money. She suffered a broken nose and needed surgery.
