Some major developments overnight in the Hantavirus cruise ship outbreak. The CDC has now classified the outbreak as level 3, activating the emergency operations center to monitor and assist with containment. 5 U.S. states are now monitoring passengers who have returned home after being exposed on the ship, but a concerning report is coming out of the south Atlantic. A British national who lives at one of the cruise ship stops has now fallen ill, with suspected Hantavirus, and never boarded the ship. In addition a French citizen on the plane with a passenger who died is also being tested for the virus after experiencing benign symptoms.
