Catchings' SEC Player of the Week Honors

He averaged 27.5 points and grabbed 12 rebounds total against Alabama and Mississippi State, sharing the award with, Vanderbilt's Tyler Tanner. In the Alabama game, catchings exploded for a career high 32 points on 12 of 20 shooting. He sank 7 of 13 from beyond the arc, including key 3s down the stretch to lock in the victory. Things got tough early against Mississippi State, with foul trouble limiting him in the first half. But he came alive after the break, scoring 10 of Georgia's first 14 points there, adding 6 rebounds, 2 steals and finishing with. 23 points on 7 of 12 shooting. Coach Mike White highlighted how catching sparked the team mentally and physically. His emergence as a score has fueled Georgia's strong run, with 5 wins in their last 6 games and a program record 22 regular season, victories.
