You guys can always hit me up on Twitter at Scott's on air. Hit us all up on the network at V-Sin Live, a busy Saturday in sports, college basketball, NBA, NHL, and even football. That's right. The NFL Scouting Combine going on in Indianapolis, where it was the skill position players on display here on Saturday, and that includes the quarterback position. We'll talk about some of the names that have started to, I don't want to say have their stock increase here as we get closer to the NFL draft, but people are starting to talk. And people are starting to talk about specific players. Now the betting markets haven't exactly populated yet with all of the opportunities that we have to bet on the NFL draft, and I don't know honestly when the sportsbooks are going to populate.

2:04I don't know if we're going to get as much of an opportunity to capitalize and cash on the NFL draft as we used to, because I'm going to let you guys in on a secret here. And it's actually not a secret because, I mean, I've talked to Derek Stevens about this on the air. I've talked to other, you know, sportsbook managers from different properties here in Vegas on the air, and they all have said the same thing. They hate the NFL draft. It's true, because the sportsbooks can't keep up with the information. And so how do you set the lines on these markets when the information is out there, when all the fans, all the bettors are following the beat reporters were reading the articles, or we got the notifications on with the tweets, and we're constantly getting changes in the information. These sportsbooks have to be so quick on the information that leaks out there, and then what's real information? Is it coming from an agent?

3:04Is it coming from a legit source? Is it just speculation? It is very difficult to book the NFL draft, but that also means it's been very easy to profit as a sportsbetter on the NFL draft. So we'll keep an eye out over the next month or so, as we flip the calendar here to March, what we're going to see the sportsbooks offer on the NFL draft, what we can wager on on the NFL draft. Right now, up on draft kings, the first overall pick market is there, and that's what's been there all along, and Fernando Mendoza is such an overwhelming favorite that at this point, you might as well just take it off the board. Now obviously things could change, anything could happen, and that's why the market's still there, but it's just, it's too overwhelming at this point. Mendoza is minus, I don't know, 200,000 to win, like it's, yeah, if you bet $100 on Fernando Mendoza to be the number one overall pick, you will profit $0.50, nice.

4:09As far as the number two overall pick, now this is a market that is new up on draft kings, it just started to populate here during the NFL combine, Avril Reese, the linebacker from Ohio State, earlier here on Saturday was a plus 105 favorite to be the number two overall pick, now up on draft kings, he is at minus 140 to be the number one overall pick. So that just goes to show you that that line could be moving based off of information, that line could be moving based off of just people betting it. We can also just be moved on, hey, we watched him at the combine, people are talking about him, I read some articles about him, and I can see him going second overall. Obviously these markets will change and fluctuate as we get closer and closer to the NFL draft. There's also a market, it's a very interesting one that we have, which team will ex player be drafted by and up on draft kings, there's only two players listed, it is Notre Dame running back Jeremiah Love, and it is Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson, the favorite, the draft

5:12Jeremiah Love is the Kansas City Chiefs at plus 220, they have the ninth overall pick in the NFL draft, and then the favorite to draft Ty Simpson is actually the New York Jets at plus 185, now that does not mean that the New York Jets will draft Ty Simpson with the second overall selection. The Jets also have another later first round pick, so they can take whatever player they want to take here at number two, and then maybe with their second number one pick, which is 16th, that came in the sauce gardener deal with the Indianapolis Colts, the Jets could take Ty Simpson at 16th overall, so just because Ty Simpson is the favorite to be drafted by the Jets does not mean that Ty Simpson is the favorite to be drafted second overall. So keep an eye on that, we're going to keep an eye on the market, the NFL draft this year is in Pittsburgh as they've been doing the whole city to city to city thing, that'll be

6:16April 23rd through the 25th there in Pittsburgh, can't wait till we start getting more markets available to bet on the NFL draft. Once again, I'm Scott Saddenberg, always on Twitter at Scott's on air, SCOTTS, O-N-A-I-R, can hit us off on the network, at V-Syn Live, it was a busy Saturday in Hoops both in the NBA and in college basketball where the regular season is coming to a close in college basketball, and we're starting to, I don't want to say see the cream rise to the top because I feel like that's kind of already been happening, but I think what we're seeing here down the stretch of the regular season and then of course once we get into conference tournament is we're starting to see teams separate themselves into legit contenders and kind of contenders. And when I say legit contenders, I mean like these are teams that really have a realistic

7:17shot to win the national championship, not a team that's a contender that could win the national championship and there's plenty of teams out there, there's plenty of teams in the top 25 that could make a run to the national title, right? Like you can look, I don't know if Kansas gets hot and Darren Peterson is the tournament most outstanding player, Kansas can win a national championship, right? If Houston gets hot, obviously I've talked about Houston before at nauseam, they can certainly win a national championship, Alabama who had a come from behind win against Tennessee earlier today, they could win a national championship. A lot of teams can win the title, but there's only a few legit contenders and I'm talking about Michigan, talking about Duke, I'm talking about Arizona, I'm talking about Yukon and I'm talking about Florida. Yeah, the reigning national champs have a legit shot to go back to back,

8:20this team is an absolute machine right now. Earlier here on Saturday, Florida number seven, hosting number 20 Arkansas, embarrassed Arkansas on the first half, they were up 53, 34 going into the break. And Florida's been a team that a lot of people have been on to the second half, they've been second half darlings this season, but they're already up significantly. What was it, a 19 point lead, right? They were pretty much a pick them minus a half or plus a half in the second half. They dominate the second half, 56 to 43, 111, 77 win over Arkansas. And I am so, so upset, not only that I didn't bet Florida in the second half, well, the money line was like minus 135 minus 140, but I also didn't bet the over. And what we have seen here in college basketball, and it's not just with Florida, it's with all these teams. When 100 is attainable,

9:25these kids go for it. There is something to scoring the hundred points that gets the players on the bench excited, it gets all of these teams excited. And where you think the game in the second half should slow down because, hey, one team's running away with it or whatever, like it should slow down. Actually, the opposite's happening. And we're seeing these kids still score a ton of points, like the live overs are the way to go with these teams that have the potential to score 100 points. Like Florida scoring 111, like Houston earlier today scoring 102. You might have thought that game was going to slow down Houston against Colorado. Nope. 80 points scored in the second half. You might think that Florida was going to slow down here against the Arkansas with a 30 point lead. Nope. Nope. Over 100 points scored. It's just unbelievable. Unbelievable. These live opportunities here in college basketball. It's not just about, hey,

10:30I want to bet on a team that was favored, but they're losing. I expect them to come back no, no, no, no. The totals, I think, is where we find an edge in college basketball in live betting, especially in the second half. We had a couple of upsets inside the top 25 earlier today, Kentucky beat number 25 Vanderbilt 91 77, not an upset, though, because Kentucky actually was the favorite in this game. And that means it qualifies for one of my favorite college basketball betting systems. And that is when you have an unranked home favorite against a ranked opponent. This season, Kentucky qualified against Vanderbilt as an unranked home favorite against a ranked opponent. 13 and 8 now straight up and against the spread. And here's something that's absolutely wild when it comes to this system. Now today was an over, but with today's game going over,

11:34this system is now 15 and six to the unders. 15 and six to the under. How about that? But that is one of my favorite college basketball systems. Another one of my favorite college basketball systems almost came in today. As number 22 Tennessee was a favorite against number 17 Alabama. We had the lower ranked home favorite number 22 against the higher ranked team. Number 17 in Alabama, but the tide came back from down 40 28 at the half to win the game 71 69. They outscored Tennessee 43 to 29 in the second half. Got a bucket late to get the game winner. Alabama, a team that just doesn't say tie. I'm Scott Saddenberg. This was a Lakers spot more so than any really that we've seen over the past couple of weeks because the Lakers are a team I feel like I'm piling on a lot and I mean rightfully so I mean they did lose three straight games and they didn't look good in the three straight losses but this is a team that when they lose games they are losing by I mean it's it's it's the margin that they're losing by it's kind of embarrassing honestly when you look at the Lakers this year when the Lakers have been dogs this year right I want to look this up real quick so I can get to the exact numbers because it's kind of staggering the Lakers

15:44as underdogs this year 8 and 15 straight up and against the spread this year as a favorite this year the Lakers 26 and nine straight up 22 and 13 against the spread when they are let's see when they are a favorite excuse me when they are a dog this year and they are losing game they've lost games by 24 they've lost games by 30 I mean my goodness the majority of these games are not close here with the Lakers the majority of the games are not close when they are underdogs when they are a favorite let's see majority of games actually it's pretty it's more it's actually it's not a lot of not a wide margin at all so maybe that goes to show you like when the Lakers are dogs if you're gonna bet against them maybe take an alternate number because when they lose they lose they lose pretty significantly this season but the Lakers are a very interesting team very very

16:49interesting team I still think they are vastly overrated in the market and I think when it comes to betting them in the futures market I want I have no interest in them in the futures market and when it comes to betting them on a game by game basis I think there's plenty of opportunities to fade them yes we saw you know those great numbers as I mentioned this season as a favorite as and again those numbers the Lakers this year which includes a win here over the Golden State Warriors Lakers is a favorite this year now 27 and nine straight up 23 and 13 against the spread so really good numbers as favorites this year but let's see how the market just can overprices them once we get closer down the stretch here Lakers right now are your sixth seed in the NBA playoffs picture so they are firmly in the play not firmly but they're in the playoffs if the season ended today they're a game and a half above the Phoenix Sun so I mean you want to talk about a team decimated

17:54by injuries to stay out of the play in round so they are right now 35 and 24 Phoenix 34 and 26 Warriors always back four and a half games back now of the Lakers and the Blazers and Clippers aren't even close to them so the Lakers should be a playoff team I will not be betting them in the playoffs I will be betting against them in the playoffs there's certain teams that I look at this year that I'm going to be very excited to fade them come playoff time the Lakers are a team I will be very excited to fade them come playoff time and believe it or not the Cleveland Cavaliers are a team that I'm going to be very excited to fade come playoff time because someone's got to call me when James Harden wins a big playoff game now I know they have been really good since they acquire James Harden they were even really they were really good before they acquired James Harden they've won seven out of the last ten games we know they had that long winning streak seven games that was snapped earlier this week and yes big win against the New York mix in a potential Eastern

18:58Conference playoff preview but then the loss of the pistons and what could have been an Eastern Conference finals preview shows me that the pistons are still above the the Cavs and again when it comes to a playoff series and I got James Harden in there I would I I don't want to bet on him but the team that I actually want to bet on come playoff time is going to be the Boston Celtics and and the more that I talk to people around the Boston Celtics the more I'm starting to believe that Jason Tatum is going to play this year like there is a just a wide belief and maybe it's optimism maybe it's unwanted maybe it's like it's just that being optimistic that the team has been so good Jalen Brown has been leading them all all season long they're the number two seed in the Eastern Conference right now which is incredible like that tweet or Instagram post whatever

19:58it was that Jalen Brown put up at the All Star Break was not a slight on Jason Tatum or any player that was not on this team this year it was to show that despite not having Jason Tatum for the entire season one of the greatest player when the best players in the world they are still having a comparable year to what they had last year to see you in the Eastern Conference net rating a certain amount offensive rating defense rating all that stuff they are still one of the top teams in the NBA and it just goes to show you how important this system is whether it was you know stemming from email Ducca now down to Joe Missoula of course and how important the role players are like you know Jalen Brown leading the way but guys like Derek White and Peyton Pritchard you know you bring in vues of it you bring in others like this team is a bet on team here down the stretch and if if it's a big if but if Jason Tatum comes back now the beauty about this is that he doesn't have to be Jason Tatum he can take a back seat he can come off the

21:05bench and just give you some quality minutes he doesn't have to be MVP candidate Jason Tatum to contribute to this Celtics team I'm telling you if there's a bet to be made it's probably the Celtics to win the Eastern Conference at plus 300 right now the cab is of the favorite at plus 290 up on draft games I want nothing to do with that pistons and next plus 350 plus 370 how much do I buy into the next of Carl that he sounds is not scoring and contributing I don't know how much I like the New York Knicks because Jalen Brunson can't do it by himself and the other night when cat was like a player that was taking a back seat and wasn't really involved in the offense I mean that that kind of rubbed me the wrong way when it comes to the Knicks and them in a big time matchup I think that there's a bet to be made in the Eastern Conference it's it's the Boston Celtics right now the other conversation surrounding the NBA futures market has been the flip in the favorite

22:10for the NBA rookie of the year for the entire season it was Cooper Flag of the Dallas Mavericks as the overwhelming favorites to be the NBA's rookie of the year but as Cooper Flag has missed games and that is now starting to add up with how many games he's missed he's not running the risk of the losing eligibility just yet but he's out of sight out of mind right now meanwhile con Kinepple his former roommate and Duke teammate just set the record for the most three pointers ever made by an NBA rookie he leads the league in three pointers the Charlotte Hornets have exceeded expectations significantly they are a playoff team this year and he is now overtaken Cooper Flag as the favorite to win the rookie of the year con Kinepple minus 160 right now up on Fandall and Cooper Flag plus 125 there was a time where you could have gotten Kinepple at plus 600

23:11plus 500 and shorter than that it has been incredible to watch this market fluctuate here and rightfully so and finally the sportsbooks have caught on the right guy is favored right now con Kinepple is the NBA rookie of the year and when the voters vote for this they're going to have to realize that Kinepple not only has set the record with the scoring with the three pointers but he has been the more productive player overall for his team if you look at some of the advanced metrics like estimated plus minus what con Kinepple's measuring at this season with his estimated plus minus is something we've never seen from a player his age like Cooper Flag's actually been a detriment to his team on the floor at times con Kinepple is elevated his team when he's on the floor that that's your rookie of the year and I think you should jump on this before this market gets even further out of hand if you haven't already done so on con Kinepple to win the rookie of the year

25:16network coming up about a half an hour from now we're going to be joined by our sports betting professor Aaron Moore will get his best bets in college basketball take a look at the short slate here on sunday but also we're going to look forward to some matchups this week as the regular season winds down the regular season already winding down for some of these smaller conferences as conference tournaments will get underway with the calendar flipping to march that's right the mania is upon us also coming up a little bit later on we're going to talk NFL combine as it was a busy Saturday in indianapolis at the NFL combine and we're starting to hear rumblings about some draft stock boom our shanti from college 2 pro dot com will join us on the program I'm Scott Saddenberg always on twitter at scots on air and at visa in live and before we left you I said let's get trendy here and I want to talk about some trends in a variety of sports let's might as well start in college basketball because that's what's hot and heavy right now and here on saturday we had two system plays in college basketball now what our system plays well these

26:20are plays that I've been tracking for several years now that have been extremely profitable and when I say extremely profitable I mean like numbers that you just you can't deny my favorite two of my favorite college basketball systems and these are what I refer to as the system right the first one is when you have two ranked teams playing each other two top 25 teams playing each other right happens a lot especially in these power conferences and you have the lower ranked team which is the team that has the higher number next to their name and I know when we say lower ranked higher ranked it gets confusing especially when it comes to the NCAA tournament because this is actually a trend that I will be monitoring and I'll tell everybody once we get close to tournament time what it means when we have the lower seeded team as the favorite over the higher

27:20seeded team so when I say lower ranked team I mean the worse ranked team the worser ranked team so earlier today we had a situation where Tennessee was hosting Alabama and Tennessee number 22 in the nation was a home favorite over number 17 Alabama and so the lower ranked team number 22 was a home favorite against the higher ranked team with the lower number next to their name number 17 Alabama going back to the start of the 2021 season this has been a trend that has continued to deliver 68 percent straight up these teams these lower ranked home favorites have gone since the start of the 2021 season 58 percent against the spread that number was 59 percent

28:22it actually got a little bit worse because we had some losses here this season alone tracking this system again lower ranked home favorite against a higher ranked opponent it is 13 and 5 straight up 11 and seven against the spread it lost earlier today with Tennessee as a 4.5 point favorite not covering and they didn't even win outright against number 17 Alabama Alabama came from behind they were trailing 40 to 28 at the half at the half I was sitting here going we got another system win boys nope not to be the case as Alabama storms all the way back they get the win 71 69 so prior to this loss this system this season was 13 and 4 straight up and 11 and 6 against the spread now 13 and 5 straight up 11 and 7 against the spread what I've also found very interesting about this system and these trends this year is in these games the unders 12 and 6 with

29:31Alabama and Tennessee going under today and that 12 and 6 number was actually a lot better because the previous four games that we had and we had one on Wednesday with Alabama and Arkansas we had one on Monday or last Wednesday and last Monday with Iowa State in Houston we also had one early February with Michigan State in Illinois and then we had one with I believe it was Texas Tech and you know was a tech stack and Kansas I believe it was anyway we had four we had no we had three straight overs in this system and two of those games actually went into overtime so think about that this year this system is 12 and 6 to the under in the last four games we've had three overs two of them were in overtime so that's the only reason why those games went over this under trend would

30:32have been significantly better we're talking 12 and 6 could have easily been 14 and 4 to the under this year now you got to keep an eye on this we don't have any games coming up here tomorrow here on Sunday in the top 25 that would fit this we don't have a situation on Monday because big Monday is number four Iowa State at number two Arizona Arizona is going to be the favorite but Iowa State they're ranked higher than Iowa State next Tuesday or this Tuesday coming up I'm looking at the top 25 schedule right now don't think we're going to have any system plays there Wednesday nothing on Wednesday next Thursday nope next Friday nope Saturday next Saturday could we have a couple of systems we might we might next Saturday which is like the final day of the regular regular season obviously conference tournaments will begin next week so maybe March 7th next Saturday's the last time we have this system and especially because these conference tournaments are played on

31:34neutral sites most of them featuring top 25 teams you're not getting on campus games so that's one that we've tracked earlier today that was a loss for the system there was another system playing college basketball earlier today that came through with a win and that is when you have an unranked home favorite against a ranked opponent and earlier today it was unranked Kentucky as the home favorite against number 25 Vanderbilt but a one and a half point spread two point spread Kentucky wins 91 77 over number 25 Vanderbilt improving this system this year to 13 and eight both straight up and against the spread and much like the first system unders dominating 15 and six to the under in this college basketball system so it seems like the under is the play when you have the

32:35worser I don't want to call him the worser team but the worser perceived team as the favorite these games tend to go under which makes sense okay even though the betting market lists that team as the favorite they are still perceived whether it's by the public or just by the entire college basketball fan base as the worse the lesser team the worser team why because they don't have a number next to their name and the other team does or the number that next to their name is higher than the other team at their playing against so naturally the public comes in on the other side because the public sometimes they don't know these teams but what they do know is that little number next to the name and so they see oh wow what do you tell it you're telling me that like number 10 is a dog against number 20 that doesn't make sense I'm gonna bet number 10 so the betting market oftentimes there's value in it that maybe maybe the team should be favored actually a little bit more

33:36maybe Kentucky should have been more than a one and a half point favorite here against number 25 Vanderbilt but because they don't have the little number next to their name they don't get the same respect in the market now the other reason why the unders kind of makes sense is because if you are perceived to be the underdog let's say and I don't mean underdog in terms of the spread because obviously we know that this team is not an underdog right and we have this argument all the time like when a team pulls a quote upset right and they storm the court and then all of us sports betting people tweet out you know at the the networks that say hey this team pulled an upset and I like that how they didn't pull an upset they were one and a half point favorites they didn't pull an upset but it's perceived as an upset because they're perceived by the public to be the lesser team well if you're trying to pull an upset what do you do in an in a basketball game you try and limit the possessions because the more possessions in a basketball game the more opportunity for the variance between the two teams to play out the more opportunity for that

34:43difference that net rating per se whatever it is to show itself and the more opportunities for the better team to separate from the worser team but if you're trying to pull an upset for lack of a better term I understand when we talk about points reds not necessarily an upset but when you're trying to beat a team that's better than you what do you do well you try and shorten the game you try and slow down the game limit the possessions and so I don't think that it is really a shocker to see these incredible under trends when we're talking about a perceived worser team pulling an upset over a better opponent I'm Scott Saddenberg you know always hit me up on Twitter at Scots on air SCOTTS ON AIR we'll start to take a look at the schedule coming up here on sunday both in college basketball and the NBA and in the NHL where we have another I don't want to call it a

41:03interesting slate we have a great game between the spurs and the nicks this one is going to be a one o'clock eastern time tip off and I always love betting the unders with these early start times however you we have seen lately overs to be the overs actually hit in these early start times like traditionally it was it was like a an auto play for me it was like unders in the early start times in the NBA this season it hasn't necessarily been the case so this season let's see the games starting at one o'clock eastern time we'll call some of these games are a little not they're not one o'clock it's like a 110 or 115 so let's just call it we'll call it like 130 eastern or earlier okay so any start time that's 130 eastern or earlier this season let's see we are at nine and five to the over so again it kind of contradicts the natural order of things which has always been hey
