Cannabis Farm Found in Historic Welsh Mansion

0:00On April 9th, police just raided Place Glenlefon, that grand old mansion near Karnarfon in North Wales, where they threw the Investiture Ball for King, Charles back in 1969 when he was Prince of Wales. Officers found a full-on cannabis operation on the top floor, using 12 rooms with mature plants. It's a Grade 1 listed spot built in 1830, with 100 rooms, and they've got the place locked down for days, to dig deeper. The buildings had a rough go lately, once a wedding venue, then dreams of becoming a luxury hotel fell through, leading to receivership and a sale-in. 2020, to a man-tester developer. They tried flipping it into something fancy, but put it on the market this year for 2 million pounds, only to pull it off recently. Locals and visitors are buzzing since the surrounding park stays open, charging 6 pounds for adults and 4 for kids to wander the 16 acres of. Gardens, no one's been arrested yet, but the properties in disrepair, with tampered electrics and diverted water feeding those grows.
