Canada suspends passenger flights from India and Pakistan
About this episode
As a horrible second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic ravages India, there has been pressure on the Trudeau government to enact travel measures to prevent further spread of variants in Canada.
In response to that pressure the government announced a ban on direct flights from India and Pakistan for 30 days. But did it come too late to make a difference?
Toronto Sun reporter Bryan Passifiume joins Dave to discuss what the ban covers, why it’s important to keep an eye on COVID hotspots, and whether there are any gaps in the plan.
