Camper Overturns on I-65 in Hoover, Alabama

0:00This is Corey with Birmingham News Today, powered by the Daily News Now. Emergency crews rush to a crash on Interstate 65 Southbound in Hoover, Alabama, where a camper overturned. It happened near the Highway 31 exit just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Several people ended up with minor injuries, according to the Hoover Fire Department. Police and fire teams closed off lanes to handle the scene, leading to big traffic backups. The Alabama Department of Transportation confirmed all Southbound lanes were shut down right there. Driver-spaced major delays and folks nearby had to find alternate routes home. No serious harm reported, but it disrupted evening commutes for many in the area. It's still not clear for another vehicle played a role in the wreck. Officials have not said when lanes might reopen fully.
