Hey everybody, welcome back to Signal's news podcast. Today, I have the amazing Amanda Boss and you are from YES, which is, you have a pie exploration and science. So, lots of really smart words for really a lot of fun that you guys do with these kids. Tell me what you're here talking about today. So, yes, along with Roses here in PV are hosting Yes Camp Connections. We held it last year, but it's going to be bigger and better than ever. So on March 28th, from 11 to 2, we have now 25 vendors coming out where parents can come. 26? No, that's 25. Now, you are 25, but we have 25 vendors coming out to allow parents to sign up for summer camps on the spot. So, we have, yes, we'll be there. We also have Storm Elite. Storm Elite Chair. We have Girl Scouts. There's so many out there with just a lot of different interest levels and different types of camps so that we can offer things for our families here. That's awesome because how many of us are, I know like with my grandkids, you're all of a sudden it's like, oh my gosh,
school is next week and I need to start thinking about summer camp and it's too late. Yeah, that's exactly what happens. I have a nine-year-old and I get a sign up for one. I'm like, oh, I'll get the rest in a little while and then there's nothing left. Or you do one and then you go, I didn't know they had that over there and that's right by my house or whatever. So yeah, so you get to walk around, you don't have to make a decision right then. You can kind of check them all out and then go, hey, talk to the kids and go, okay, what do you want to do? Absolutely and we're trying to make it a fun day as well. So we have a bounce house provided by Honeybee's Adventure Camp Adventure School and then we also have a face painter who will be out and Mountain Fluff is going to be serving some cotton candy. So I know, this is a great day and weather is getting super nice. So we outside, it's definitely, I think we're skipping spring going right to summer, according to this week, but what a great way to figure it out. We always, with our quarterly event guides, we're always like, okay, you know, we get to summer and we're like, oh, we should do something
on camps. Well, that was too late. So we'll be covering a little bit of this in our spring guide because it's, you know, we forget that there's just so much going on and, you know, when you're used to kids being in school all every day. And camps can be kind of spending because it's, you know, but they've all filled up. Yeah, and doing this, I've realized how many smaller organizations are offering summer camps, but that maybe get overshadowed by the bigger camps that are going on. So I'm really excited that we, I've reached out to a lot of our partnerships and smaller organizations that do want to bring more kids in and offer these fun, exciting. Camps. And what kind of camper you guys doing? We're working on a space. So if we have a space, we'll be doing some kindergarten readiness with a steam, with a steam focus, but just some fun summer steam activities for kids. You and I should combine forces for the summer. That would be super smart because you're super smart. And we've got great space. So we should definitely talk,
not super smart, but we got great mats. We've got fun stuff they can do. We have a bounce house. Oh, yeah. Of course, we can do something awesome. Okay. I'll be excited. All right. Off the record. Off the record, people. So if they want to, if they just already know, hey, I want to, you know, this is what we do every summer. Come with an open mind and see what else is going on. Yeah, even if you're not looking to sign up, it's just going to be a fun day here on, you know, bioharkens for just a fun event for families to get together and see what's out there. So maybe plan for next year, even. And if you sign up for something here, you actually are going to get a special deal from roses. So kids will get to eat with the purchase of an entree for free. So all right. And I think we'll have some treats to to give out to the kids. So this will be super fun. Again, that's March 28th. It is a Saturday from 10 to two. You said 11 to 11 to two. Better sleep in a little bit. I know. Well, the I'll be tired from having a whole week off
for spring break. So perfect. Come on out. It's going to be at the town center, which is right here by Harkin. So plan a movie day. It's going to be super fun. Amanda, thanks for all that you guys do. And thanks for bringing this. I know my daughter was like, this is perfect. I don't have to go hunting and I don't have to go looking. It's all right in front of me. So we will see you here, March 28th from 11 to two at town center. Yeah, perfect. Sounds great. All righty. We'll see you guys next time.
