BYU's Dybantsa Earns AP First Team All-American

0:00On March 17, BYU forward A.J. DiBanza just earned Associated Press first-team All-American honors announced Tuesday morning. As the nation's top scorer, he's joined by Duke's Cameron Booser, Arkansas's Darius A. Cove Jr., Michigan's Yaxxel-Lendaborg, and Texas Tech's J.T. Toppen. This marks the fifth time a freshman has made the AP first-team following his preseason nod. The 6'9 standout from Brockton, Massachusetts, averages 25.3 points per game, heading into the NCAA tournament. DiBanza has put up 859 points this season, third most in program history, and just eight shy of second place. He's hit double figures in all 34 games, with 27.20 plus point outings and 7.30 plus performances, including A, 13 game streak of 20 or more. One highlight came January 24th in a 91 to 78 win, where he dropped 43 points on 15 of 24 shooting.
