India wins by seven runs. MS Doni was at the ground. Pala for a reason. That's right. On a charged night of emotion and drama, India emerges supreme in a 499 run battle of the bats, which was naturally decided by bowling and fielding. There were star-studded performances from Sanju, AXA, Bethel, and that man, Bumra. Does he get enough flowers? We'll come to that. And in the end, India deservedly marched through to the T-20 World Cup Final in Enderbad to face their demons. And by that, I mean, the scorches finale. It's a celebratory time in India. It's a celebratory time in TGC Towers. And for that reason, it calls for a butt. Music Of course, yeah, you've got Pesaheer Solar. Once again, celebratory times around the Towers.

Let's have a look at the scores from overnight in this absolute run, Glutton Fest. India, if you don't know, India is sent into bat by Harry Brook. A rare, good decision from Harry. Although Sky says, so you can know, Yada says, I would have batted. And I just have to take him at his word for that despite all data. And India says, okay, we will have a bat first. How's 254 to chase off 20 overs? And England says, yeah, that's a lot. That's a lot. Bethel does it off his dick, completes the set of hundreds. I mean, it's absolute carnage in the bowling department. Do we have bowling school cards, TB? If we can, we can have a look at the batters. I mean, it's all going to tell the same story. This is England's bowling card. I mean, everybody goes for heaps. If you go at tens, you're economical. And I've always liked my cricket that way. I have to say, I'll say that's a future of the game.

I saw Daniel Ressoul actually on the ESPN Crick Info. Jerno pointed out that this was the same scoreline in the 1987 World Cup Final or semi. Or something like that. It's just that was 50 overs. Yeah, it's off it goes at 15s. Wheeljacks continue these good performances in this World Cup. I guess Adirushi went at tens, so that was good. It's totaling out of carnage. If we have a look at England, India's bowling card as well, TB. I mean, carnage, but less carnage. I mean, Shivim Dubay must have lost a bet to bowl that last over. We'll come to that as well. But there is one stand out there. I don't know how it looks okay. But Jasper at Bumra, I mean, I will come to him in a second with, I'm just going to roll out the red carpet again because he deserves a red carpet every time, even though we've become accustomed and deadened to his greatness. I do think Bumra is the difference in this game. And you are obligated contractually when you do chronicle the game to call that one difference.

It can never be in a conflagration of matters. It's just one difference. And overnight, it was Jasper at Bumra again. A couple of records in this game. I want to run through just again, contextualize what was going on in this game at the one, Katie. It is the highest score by a team in a knockout playoff in T20 Ice. That's India. The second highest aggregate for a T20 I match ever, the most in a World Cup match. 19-6 is by India. This is, and I should say, by the way, this is courtesy of ESPN Creek info. They've put these stats together. I should attribute that. 19-6 is by India is the joint most by any team in a T20 World Cup match. 34-6 is from both teams, cumulatively, the most in any T20 World Cup match. 73 total boundaries is the most in a T20 World Cup game.

And the third most in any T20 I match. Throughout the tournament, there have been 88 total sixes hit by India, which is the most by any team in any T20 I tournament surpassing, taking the words right out of your mouth, a bulk area in some tournament last year. So good, yeah, not great for the dreams of ballers. When it comes to cricket, but this is not a time to be existential. It was a match that got the pulse racing and a game that was full of drama and emotion. I think India has shaded in England for most of the game, but not always, not always. Budweiser, thankfully, is taking the show out of my hands and putting it in the hands of fans. They said they said again in the contract. The show is not yours, Pezer, particularly when he goes in here. So we're going to put it in the hands of fans and rightly so, dangerously so as I've always contended, but rightly so. So it's in the hands of fans.

Let's say we'd have to say plenty of contributions overnight. Yeah, first question did Brooke drop the match? You'll never know. You'll never know if you drop the match. It's one of these hypotheticals that can't be answered. We have a lot of these regrets in life. If only I'd ask that girl out, oh boy, whatever. You'll never know what the counterfactual is. Now, does Harry Brooke drop what we here would call a soda? Hit by the guy who makes the difference with the bat with India? Yes, he does. Does he do it early in the fixture? Yes, he does. Would Joffa's tail been slightly up after that? Yes, it would. It is painful to watch. The Harry Brook is a great filter. He's shown that. It's painful to watch drop catches that should be taken, particularly by the captain in crucial moments in the power play. And would it have been even harder for Brooke to swallow the fat

that Axa Patel took an unbelievable fucking catch off his own bat in his innings? Yeah, would. Is the idea of doing this show solo conducive to me asking myself questions that I'm answering? Yes, it is. And I apologize. I don't think he dropped the match, though. I do think like, you know what, you're not going to like it. But I think that if Harry Brooke takes the catch, someone else probably comes in and starts bashing him around. And I'll never be able to prove it, but he probably should have taken the catch. It's a boring thing to say, but I just, someone else probably gets it done. They probably find another way to 253 cricket runs. Chattanooh says, the safety of seeing Tuller and Rohit at the game, with fresh looking salads. I don't know if that's a drive by and guys who can't produce salads. But I mean, I'm sure. See, India now is going to have with a new set of kind of IPL test tube baby players, which is fine, by the way.

They're going to get that feeling of safety with the old guard turning up to games and still looking pretty good. I mean, Rohit Sharma, it looks a million dollars. Well, a million dollars he makes that in a day, a billion, let's say. I think Brennan McCullum saw him and said, where the rest of you go? So shout out, Rohit. Congratulations on your trim figure. He's probably done with, you know, he's probably over the pressure of having to be Captain with the current online environment of India. So I'm happy with Rohit Sharma. He looks great. Tuller always looks great out there in the farm lifting. And we look forward to his contributions in the IPL. However, they're given. Makes a lot of marketing money. Fraser Parsons says, Napean Highway has more variation than these wickets. Now that's harsh on the Napean Highway and obviously quite, quite an obscure thing to say with the audience watching this show. But that you're right, it was it was a road. The next one is bowling overrated. I mean, this is the argument that the rest of the world makes when it comes to

India's domination of cricket. It's like, you still need us because you need somebody to play. And I suppose I disagree with that by the way. But I suppose you could say that like you, you know, it is a batter's game overnight. But you do need bowlers. So I wouldn't say that it's they're overrated. But you do need to be as good as Jaspreet Bournemouth to make a difference in this game. So maybe this will actually arise in title if so, but it's maybe Bournemouth's difference will give rise to more Bournemouth. You know, so maybe in the end, it's a great result for bowlers overnight. That's some mental gymnastics there, but I've performed it. Is it now clear to everyone that Jay Shah makes the ball move more for India with magnets? Stay with kids. It wasn't, I mean, it wasn't clear to me. He certainly seemed to have magnets between his hands when India hit boundaries or took wickets because they kept coming together. That was my understanding of why he was cheering

the Indian team. But perhaps I missed, I might have maybe he was doing the same for, you know, Will Jackson, Jacob Bethel and the cameras didn't pan to him at that time, okay? I didn't even really see, I was too busy looking at Rohit looking incredible. Liam, see, how angry must Oli Pope be after watching his replacement, peel a ton off his foreskin, disgusting, disgusting. Jacob Bethel battled exceptionally well and we'll come to that as a disgusting comment. I shouldn't be in there. I put it in there. Okay, that was so much closer than the relationship between my baby and my wife. Now, this is it, this is, listen, all we try and do at TGC is provide a cross section of the sentiment and temperature of the world in response to matches. Now, this to me feels like a disclosure. There's support out there, I think, when it comes to postpartum matters,

with babies and mothers, there is. It's no joke. I mean, yeah, I think Priank mistress saying, I mean, and baby, I presume is the child. I mean, baby might be a name for a mistress and that would make more sense if there was a mistress and a wife would not have proximity or closer to a relationship. I feel like we're digressing from the cricket. People are watching this going, can you just stick to the cricket, which isn't to be confused with the podcast, stick to cricket, of course. But there are a lot of shows out there where you can get the exes and oes of this game. And what I'd like to put forward or profit is that I'm, and we, just it will me at the moment, right? Selfishly, from here goes, but all we're trying to do is show you how people think about cricket. And for this person, sadly or otherwise, the game reminded him of a postpartum issue between his wife and his baby. So I wish them well. Next.

England need to give Makonky a passport. Always comes back to Makonky. No one saw this coming this world cup. Didn't have it on my bingo card. Then you need one. But Makonky is, I mean, Makonky looms for India. I've got to say, I know the Indians have had a good win overnight, but they won't sleep easy knowing Makonky will be out to get Abershek and co in the power play. I do like the imprint or the implication within this that England simply hands passports out to players from other countries as well. And I do think there's evidence to back that up. But thanks for that piece of advice. And just to, yes, just to finish off, there's the major sentiment that we got from Safal Galat. It's already written in short for India. It's already written India win final. Now shut the fuck up with a middle finger up. I, like, I mean, I won't, I won't do that, but I understand the, I understand sentiment. And I reckon it would feel awesome

just to like to support your team and be and then just go hard at anyone who isn't your team online. It would feel awesome for a while. I like the online sentiment. I like the plurality of it. Everyone's free to do it. How they like as long as they're not hurting others. I don't feel very particularly hurt by this. I mean, the, you know, the bar has been raised in the last few days. If you follow Australian cricket and podcasts around, you know, the discourse and what can be said between each other to each other from each other. So I'm just, I'm just adjusting. I'm just another person out here doing my narration of the game. I liked this from the Barat army actually after the win. I think that's Sue Kimayata smoking a cigarette in his pads and doing a step dance. And then there's a latent hewitt come on there. There he's sky. He's just smoking yet. And the team's behind him just waiting as well. So just have another look at this. This is after the

win. It's a bang. I got to say, that's really tough on the core. That's the vibe around India as far as I can tell. Hell yeah. So that was Budweiser choosing to put the show in the hands of fans. And they have, um, I'll describe the sort of the anatomy of the thing of, of how, of how India came to win this game. Um, as I'm sitting on one of the toss, that bold book said it very, very quickly. Uh, and you could just tell straight away. It was, it was, it was going to be an absolute batter, thorn, huge roar, greeting every boundary. Abberscheck went early. So, uh, where, where it just means he's probably going to make 150, uh, in the final. That's how these things work. A lot of people love pointing out. There's like, oh, and he's the number one T 20. I better in the world. I mean, I think Abberscheck Sharmer is one of the most promising and excellent players in world cricket. He's not the number one T 20. I better in the world. Perhaps he's easy to say that he's had a, now that he's had a poor tournament so far. Uh, he never was really. That's just a, um, some weirder, not a normally of rankings. There's, um, there are other players literally in his team,

who, um, a superior to him at the moment. He may well be one day. So I, I don't think it's a big deal that, um, he's missed out so far. It's what happens. And he probably will get it done in the final. Um, uh, Sandra Samson, though, is a huge, um, is a huge story out of this game. 89 from 42 deliveries. Just mowing blocks over the top. Once again, he's just hitting down the ground. Love just stepping onto that front dog mowing guys over midwicked. That's really the shot. As we mentioned earlier, Harry broke, dropped him, but the rest of it was, um, was just clinical. He's, he's a picture in clinical destruction, particularly on these decks. Uh, you have to love the guys humility as well. He's given the player of the match award and essentially gives it to, um, to Jasper, Bournemouth straight away afterwards as I wouldn't have been able to, uh, enjoy this without, without Jasper. Um, I suppose he's saying that if Bournemouth doesn't bowl the England wins, then he doesn't get player of the match. Um, otherwise it doesn't make sense because he did it before Bournemouth balled. Um, I also hope that he was just saying it, Sandra, as kind of a empty

rhetoric publicly and he still held onto that player of the match award. I mean, if Bournemouth accepts that, uh, and I don't think he would, uh, then we're going to have to revise everything. But I'm, what I'm guessing has happened here is that there's a comedy of politeness. Sandra says, player of matches yours. Bournem says, no, no, it's yours. And then they're like, oh, I don't know what to do now. Uh, and, you know, that's how the team is, is flying. Um, we did see pictures of Jasper next to Rohit cheering Sandra one good stuff. Oh, Magnus between the hands. Take your piggy brings these 50 up off 26 deliveries, ishing kitchens, bashing. Everyone's got to go at 200 plus. Um, um, uh, Will Jackson eventually gets Sandra Samson. Sky went quickly enough. Wasn't his night. He'll just have another night until like when it pays India 253 for seven. That's about as good a summary as you will, you will receive England come to get it done in the second inning. Salt goes earlier, uh, goes early. Sorry. How hard it gets him. Uh, you realize that the win is going to be built on marginally better defensive bowling, um, and slightly, um, poor execution. That's pretty much how it

plays out. Uh, they held, they hold Bournemir back. Uh, so Arsch deep opens the bowling gets that ball hooping in as well for the first time in a little while. Hardick, uh, he's, he's doing it up the top as well. The whole Bournemir back, um, obviously gets a wicked first ball. Uh, acts up a tell takes a catch, um, with Harry Brook at the crease. That should be remembered for a very, very long time. Um, you're going to have to be saying it in India shades of Travis head with Rohit, uh, in the World Cup final in M, M to bad November 19, 2023. Um, I think a better catch, a better catch than Hetties. Uh, you know, it's, it, um, it's, it's upon me as a guy who played cricket wants to say, you need to understand there's a hard catch to take when they're back over your head running backwards, but we all know that by now. Um, that's an incredible catch by Arsch's upper tell, um, brilliant slow ball from Bournemir as well. And Harry Brook goes for seven or from six. Just personally, I want to say, um, I would love to have seen as a neutral, um, what could have done on this deck, but he couldn't do it because Bournemir dismissed him. It's our

for its chest. It's superiority. Um, England actually finished their power plan 68, which is one more than India did all be it having lost three wickets. When you set 254 to win in, you lose three in the power plate pretty tough, uh, from there, uh, Tom Baton's ball by Axis after a couple of zacks. Um, it's for for not enough. Um, most of the batting orders out with 150 to get, but then Bethel and Jacks begin, uh, an excellent partnership. Bethel brings up his 50 off 19 balls. Uh, he's second 50 there for his slower. Um, it's not a criticism. It's just not usually how you see it. And then there's an incredible catch to get rid of will jacks again by Axa. I mean, he ends up tossing it to, to do bay, but um, uh, it's this catch where, um, he's skirting along the boundary, absolute pace. He's about to go over the boundary, tosses it back into, to shift him, do bay pops it up nicely as well. Rugby, Rugby's league and union players will enjoy that when you, you know, delivering an inside ball, you don't jam it into the chest of your opposition play. You pop it up

to them for them to run onto it. That's exactly what Axa did. I know everyone else thought about it that way as well. Now the run rate's climbing at this point. You're looking at 12, 13s, 14s. You have to be perfect to win from here if you're England. At one stage, they needed 45, uh, off 18 deliveries. That is not insurmountable. I mean, uh, India did more than that against Pakistan, the MCG in 2022, 48 off 18. I think the situation was, they only took 15 runs from the next 12 deliveries. Uh, that's gonna cost you. And one of the guys bowling, one of those overs was Jasperic Bormra. Um, he is what I want to say about Bormra. And if you could just enjoy it, you know, if you could just indulge a lukewarm take, um, because even Sandra Samson agrees, um, Bormra is player of the match in this game, uh, in a 499 run game with 34 sixes and a record number of boundaries. He's over's go for seven, then 12, then eight, then six, um, and he gets

England's most dangerous batter. Uh, I will need a mathematician to properly highlight the relative value of that economy rate in a record breaking, run scoring game. Just to repeat, seven, then 12, then eight, then six, in the 16th and 18th overs, respectively, with a bloke, smashing them everywhere in Jacob Bethel. Um, he, it's not, yeah, I mean, it's not just what Bormra does with the ball, which is spellbinding and, uh, the very, um, personification of greatness. Uh, it's also the prospect of Bormra that impacts the match. Uh, when Bethel and Jack's got going, keeping England afloat just, uh, they will steal the knowledge that Bormra loomed even without the ball in hand. So that aura, um, at international level is reserved only for a handful of special

players, uh, throughout history and Bormra is squarely in it. Uh, it's testament to just how good he is that we have become accustomed to his inevitability. Players of the match award, um, or awards now seem to elude him because we, we overlook him, um, but he was as ever the difference. Uh, he's just an exceptional player. Um, I don't even think once in a generation covers it to be honest, uh, and he was locked in today because Sam at top of his mark focused. It's great to see him like that as well. And his hair looks good. Um, and I know that Sanjana agrees that he has an incredible booty. So just adding a, just rounding out that, and now this is Bormra. So as I say, let me just recap that. When he bowls, he's basically unplayable. When he's not bowling, the prospect of him is a huge problem for oppositions. His hair looks great. He's got an enormously

excellent booty as agreed by his wife. And we need to give him more player of the match awards. Five key points on Bormra there. Uh, Jacob Bethel were the Jacob Bethel, um, he's completed the set of hundreds. And what is funny about that is that, um, he only has three hundreds. They just happened to have come in all three formats, um, against South Africa at home, Australia in Australia and India in India. Um, the last two are losing hundreds too, which is even better. He's the third youngest to complete the set. I think in Australia, the question is why can't we produce this young blonde thing? Why aren't we growing Jacob Bethel's? Uh, he just looks the business in a, um, in a frightening way and in a dispiriting way. I have to say, congratulations England. You have someone, I say it begrudgingly, every shape is incredible. And, um, he nearly

chased 250 rounds in India for you. Yep, that's no good. Um, um, a bit of chat about, um, I'm nearly finished, a bit of chat about some DJ stuff, uh, online. And that, that is online is, is probably where you should look when it comes to understanding the, the general, um, you know, the major points of a match. Um, sunny G pointed out that it's pretty unfair for a DJ to be, um, chat, like, I guess, um, roaring Bormra chance, um, in between deliveries, I think you went out to clarify as I between overs is fine. And, um, and then a lot of responses to that are like, well, it's a home, it's a home semi final, so we can do it we want. And to those people, I would say, well, evidently, you're right. That is, that is how it is now. Um, and, uh, you know, that's, that's so, so be it. I've been to IPO games by the way. And I know this wasn't, this is kind of an IPO game, but, um, that, I mean, correct me if I'm wrong,

but, um, this happens every game, doesn't it? This is, uh, in India, this is, this is how it goes. I mean, it's, uh, the, the DJ is absolutely fucking banging over there. And then often the, uh, the guy on the mic is, um, accompanying at, with great energy. And it's almost deafening. If you think it's a pollutant, it's, that's reasonable. I do, um, but I, I think, um, um, I just think to kind of highlight it. No, I'm not talking about sunny G. It's everybody else piggybacking off. I mean, I think it does, it does, it does kind of suck. I don't think it really happens elsewhere. But, um, you know, that's, that's, they're the, they're the, um, you know, the pleasures of scale and advantages of, of power. But like, um, to kind of highlight it after India wins a, like a, like a kind of breathtaking game, it does, it can come across like salgrapes. I don't know if now's the top, now's, you know, specifically the time to be calling out

and redressing the issue of it being loud in between balls, just a good game of cricket, ultimately, and, you know, everyone has their own kinks and proclivities. Uh, a couple other questions for England. Um, I thought they could have themselves pretty well in this game. Um, is it the end of Joss Butler? I don't know. Uh, he was better. He was better in this game. Um, he's, if it is the end of Joss Butler, he's one of the greatest white ball players of all time and been an absolute pleasure to watch. He's, yeah, no form in this tournament. It happens to people, um, great player, great person. And, um, we'll see. I mean, if he wants to play on, he'll probably do well. We see this with guys. Um, I'm sure we'll be seeing him around, um, franchise tournaments for a while yet as well, because it's still an absolute weapon. Um, is it the end of Brennan McCullum? He did say I'm going to go home now and, um, what did he say? Watch fast horses, uh, and play bad golf or something like that. And that's his proclivity as well. Uh, I don't know. I don't know if it will be. Is a, is a,

like a, this was a, a noble loss for England. They equated themselves very well as a set. I mean, so go down by seven runs against, um, a red-hot Indian team who are playing at home, um, is no small, um, is, is, is, is no like, um, I don't know, it's no bad thing. It may well be that that's the closest anyone's really going to run them in at the point of the tournament. We'll see with New Zealand. Um, always is a fielding coach issue. And where was the fielding coach? I don't know. Not for me, really, I don't care. Um, so to conclude, uh, standing between India and indomitable glory are the skeletons spiritually led by the scorchers own and the BBL's own fin Allen. Um, as ever, the question will be at the end of that fixture who is crying more. And on that note of crying, I'll conclude by saying quite vaguely, but if you do know, you know, up the wires.
