Building Unbreakable Mental Strength: Lessons from a Marine-Turned-Coach

About this episode

Clint Laukhuf spent nearly a decade in Marine Recon before transitioning to the world of tennis coaching where he found himself compelled to focus on mental strength or resilience. He played tennis in college while obtaining a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in organizational leadership. Clint has also written a book titled, "Mental Strength Toolbox" and has his own company called Athlete First.

It was an honor talking with Clint about his transition and identity struggles and imposter syndrome from switching from marines to coaching and the importance of understanding that sports psychology is better seen as mental strength training that requires consistent practice and a progressive approach.
