The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have chosen not to place a restricted free agent tender on safety, Christian Ezean. The 25-year-old defender impressed over three seasons, but without the tender, he can now explore other teams. Still, the butthold interests in resigning him for the 2026 season. Ezean first joined Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent back in 2023. He quickly earned playing time, starting four games as a rookie across 17 appearances. In 2024, he stepped up with 10 starts in 14 games. Last season, he saw action in 14 contests with one start, mixing in about 20% of defensive snaps and half a special team's duties. Over his 45 career games, Ezean has notched five passes defense, three interceptions, and three forced fumbles, solid numbers for a young player. A right of first refusal tender would have guaranteed him $3,520,000 for next year.
