Bucky Irving is set to become the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lead running back, heading into 2026. The team cleared the way by declining to resign Rashad White and Sean Tucker, putting the bulk of the carries on the former Oregon standouts, shoulders. Irving dealt with injuries in 2025, playing just 10 games and finishing with 5.088 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. Before getting hurt, he averaged 17.7 carries per game, and he picked right back up with 17.1 attempts over his final. Six outings. Fans and analysts see big potential in Irving, who already topped 1,100 yards as a rookie in 2024. He's on track to join an elite group as just the fifth Buccaneer with multiple 1,000 yard seasons, following guys like Doug Martin and Warwick, done who bounced back strong after down years. The arrival of new offensive coordinator Zach Robinson adds even more excitement.
