Make sure you hit that notification bell, always get notified when we go live. And I feel like we could just run these last, at least the last four in a row, eight of the last nine of these Postcasts and just replay them for you because it continues to be the same issue with the Milwaukee Bucks. Once again, a 23 point loss this evening at a team, they are quote unquote chasing in the standings. The Atlanta Hawks are obviously on the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to what the Milwaukee Bucks are having one nine in a row, but still in the in the hunt for the for getting out of that play and tournament is Atlanta, but the Bucks are obviously chasing. One of the teams they're chasing is Atlanta, obviously Charlotte Charlotte's also in action as we speak, but obviously the play and it seems to be a far fetched dream for the Milwaukee Bucks. But it's once again the issue with this team that kind of has surfaced throughout the course of the entirety of the entire rough season, the roller coaster season, the Bucks not
rebounding the basketball, the Bucks turning over the basketball points in the paint transparency. I mean, it's it's been today was just absolutely atrocious. I mean, the 62 to 36, what points in the paint for the Atlanta Hawks. I shouldn't make note that there was no Yannis in this one for Milwaukee, no Usman, Jane in this one. So a couple days ago, it's the first game where the Bucks are all together and then the very next game, they are not together in no Yannis a not a calf related injury. The report is as a new ankle injury for Yannis. So again, I don't know if that's the Bucks quietly putting in throwing in the towel, but it may or may well not be, but obviously the point the paint defense is obviously is going to take a hit on it, but I mean 62 points in the paint for Atlanta versus 36 for the Milwaukee Bucks. I mean, that right there is going to tell you the story of the game. The turnovers are going to tell you another story of the game, 23 turnovers tonight once again for the Bucks in the offensive rebounds.
I mean, it's just, it is, it comes down to just simple basketball for this team. It's nothing more, nothing less. Yes, it's a maker mislead, but guess what? Both teams today, Atlanta and Milwaukee both shooting 49% from the field. Atlanta, however, putting up 19 more shot attempts than the Milwaukee Bucks overall three point though, almost dead on Milwaukee 12 of 37 from the field and Atlanta 14 of 38 from the field. So, you know, Bucks at 32% Atlanta at 37% so not a ton difference there. I mean, plus six for Atlanta and the three point shooting, but that that's, that's not the issue. It's the second chance points. Once again, for this team and or the lack thereof, I should say 24 second chance points for the Atlanta Hawks tonight, six for the Milwaukee Bucks Atlanta 15 offensive rebounds and the Bucks had five. I mean, yes, it's the 23 point loss points in the paint, you know, you're looking at that. It's obvious right there.
That's a big issue for the Bucks at the turnovers again, minus 10 for the Bucks in the turnover category. You're, you're not going to win many games when you have 10 more turnovers than the other team in the Bucks surrendering 30 points, you know, in those 23 turnovers, those points can see it off of turnovers. So once again, you're, you're not going to win many games when you have, you know, those numbers. And I hate to come on this show and sit here and tell you, well, you got to rebound. We can't turn over the ball. Yeah, that's where we're at with this team. This is, this is how bad they have played under doc rivers. This is how bad this team has performed in the basic categories, categories of basketball. Yeah, it's a maker, Miss League. I just rattled out the numbers like the Bucks didn't get up near enough shots as Atlanta did, but they both shot 49%. The scoring for the Bucks, not having Yannis, obviously, was going to take a hit. I mean, after, after the first half, you're down eight, you're, you're feeling okay. Like Atlanta had, had a couple of good runs. I mean, the first quarter started off rough for the Bucks, and I mentioned not having
Yannis or Uzman, Jane in there, but the Bucks went down. They were down early in this one and, and could have really gotten out of hand early on in this game, but they, they fought back and after the first quarter, the Bucks were only down one. They even had a lead at one point in that first quarter. So you were feeling okay, but then the second quarter, the rope started to slip a little bit. Kyle Kuzma stepping in up in that, in that second quarter, Bobby Portis had a nice first quarter for the Bucks, and he provided some pop off the bench, 14 points for Bobby off of the bench, Ryan Rounds with a big day offensively leading the way with 22 for Milwaukee. So it's just, it, again, it's the little things with this team, but they just become big things. And they don't allow one thing to just stop. You know, it's one thing if you're just, you're a little sloppy with the basketball. You're, that maybe then you, you clean up the rebounding. It's just not like the Bucks give up a couple of offensive rebounds. They get the reap, you know, they eventually get the defensive rebound. They turn, you know, go down court. It's a turnover.
Like they don't let one bad thing just stop. They let it continue to snowball and snowball and it's coaching. It's players. It's everybody involved in this one as the Bucks lose one, 22 to 99, no Yannis is 31st game. He has missed this season. You see, I thought it was interesting. For this game, again, it's the last week he plays against Utah and then sits against I forgot who they played the next game, Orlando. So he plays against Utah on that Saturday and then doesn't play against Orlando, which I thought was interesting. You figured you could have probably beat Utah without Yannis, maybe, maybe or maybe not. I suppose. I'd rather have him play in there against the Orlando Magic, a team again, at that moment, the Bucks were still chasing for a potential play in spot. And then this weekend, you sit Yannis against the team, you're also chasing in the play
in interesting thought process. And then we'll see what happens tomorrow against another daytime matinee game against the Indiana Pacers. So some interesting decisions, we should say there from Doc Rivers, from the Bucks manager management, maybe it's Yannis just unable to go. I don't recall seeing him on the bench. He may have been there. I wasn't really necessarily looking for him on the television broadcast, but interesting decisions there from the Bucks that also could be their way of just quietly trying to bow out of this season as they're now 12 games under 512 in 21 on the season for the Bucks. And again, going, going into down in the half down eight, you felt okay and then it's that one quarter. It feels like it's always one quarter with this Bucks team that that dooms them. We'll talk about that are locked on Bucks postcast turning point are locked on Bucks postcast player of the game. And I see all of you guys lined up on the YouTube live chat. I would love to get into your thoughts, your reactions and of course your frustrations

for making locked on the number one sports podcast network a one twenty two ninety nine loss for the Milwaukee bucks mentioned in that first quarter you're only down one you at one point we're holding a three point lead so when did this one turn against the Milwaukee bucks time to reveal where the game was once or lost it's the turning point once again it's always one quarter for the box it's always one moment in the game and it feels like it's always been over this last little stretch the third quarter for the Milwaukee bucks spelling the doom for them this evening as they drop their fourth straight game they get out scored in that fourth quarter only by nine not awful but when you're going to half down eight you wanted to come out of the third quarter with a little bit more urgency at the bucks in the fourth quarter in the third quarter excuse me four turnovers in less than the first two minutes for the Milwaukee bucks we mentioned the turnovers twenty three total on the night they had four of them in less than two minutes in the
first quarter they had nine total in that corner keep in mind Atlanta up to the entirety of that first second and third quarter only had nine for the entire game the bucks had nine in the third quarter Atlanta had an eleven oh run in that quarter and we talked about the turnovers the bucks had two different five second violations trying to inbound the basketball in this game like which I just I think one of them was after a time out too or at least an officials review it was there were some stoppage in play where the bucks it was Kyle Kuzma at one point Ryan Rowan's at another point could not be able to get the ball inbound I mean that is that's it's grade level stuff here that we're talking about that this bucks team under doc rivers is incapable of doing I mean it's one thing I suppose to not be able to rebound you know not be able to not turn the ball over but when you're not able to get the ball in on an inbound play it's just disastrous once again so the third quarter for me is the turning point in this one again you come out of half only down eight you're on the road it's obviously a big game your every game for you right now whether
you believe postseason aspirations are real or not they're probably not but at least if you're the bucks you're you know like there's still a quote unquote mathematical chance for this that to turn into a run if you can get if you can string some wins together obviously Atlanta one of the teams you're chasing and for you once again and blame whoever you want quite frankly I blame everybody involved that the players the coaches everybody involved I mean the turnovers still an issue for the box Kyle Kuzma leading the charge today for the bucks with five of them better today from Ryan Rowan's who usually is is kind of one of those guys were just unable to take care of the ball only one turnover for Ryan Rowan's this afternoon with his 22 point team high 22 points so that's encouraging I suppose but again come out of the third quarter you only down eight okay let's let's get things going in this third quarter let's see if we can we can string together some moments in that third quarter and the bucks have more turnovers than points in less than the first two minutes and it's all downhill from there so Atlanta would outscore the bucks by nine in that quarter take a 17 point lead into the fourth quarter and then it it just again
the fourth quarter just it kept spiraling out of control at one point the hawks gone at 12 12 to one run in that fourth quarter they outscore the bucks by six and that fourth quarter and that that would be it that would be your 23 point defeat today at 122 99 loss for the bucks I know it's been a tough season I know it's been a tough couple of weeks I appreciate every single one of you guys tuning in and dropping your thoughts and we're going to get to him here in just a minute but when or lose we got to do it let's hand him out this is the walk done player of the game a two honorable mentions if you guys don't mind and the first one for me is Ryan Rollins for the marquee bucks I again leading the bucks with 22 points I thought he was efficient in the 31 minutes eight eleven from the field for Ryan Rollins to go with eight assists and again only one turnover for for Ryan Rollins so 22 and eight for Ryan Rollins with note with one turnover excuse me efficient day from Ryan Rollins the other honorable mention is Wisconsin's own Jalen Johnson and 35
minutes tallyed up a triple double and you're going to think oh the heck is not not the lock down bucks post cast player the game shout out to Jalen Johnson because I just I love everything about that dude's game 23 points 10 rebounds 12 assists but CJ McCollum was a thorn in the and continues to be a thorn in the bucks side he's going to get my locked on bucks post cast player of the game and it's only because he was seven to ten from three point range and just absolutely killed the bucks in that he led the hawks in scoring with 30 points in all this in 27 minutes so the ageless CJ McCollum getting my locked on bucks post cast player of the game I thought he was fantastic in this one and again it just keeps falling apart for the bucks I wish we could turn things around and and get some wins and get some locked on bucks post cast player the games to fall in Milwaukee but it's just once again not going to to come to fruition today as the bucks lose by 23 let's get into some of your thoughts your reactions your frustrations as Richard on the
YouTube live chat saying players are planning vacations already yeah I mean I don't I hate to question professional athletes effort it I mean the third quarter was horrible the fourth quarter didn't get much better obviously you're now 12 games under 500 you've lost eight of your last nine these players are also human I don't think they see an a way in to being able to find a way into that that play in tournament although Charlotte currently down 10 but I believe you're still going to be down five or six games from them in the play in tournament so you're not helping your cause whatsoever especially when you continue to lose the teams that you're chasing mr. Milwaukee over on YouTube says why didn't the Milwaukee bucks quietly send out rivers home for the season and let Darwin hand coach the last 21 games as the intern to see what has happened the bucks organization no longer makes any sense that's a great point because I brought that up a couple days ago for like these games all these postcast feel all the same because it's always the same issues
bucks not making threes bucks starting the ball over the bucks not rebounding too many points in the bank defense is lacking but I said that like some there's been a shift in the organization not a good one either to your point mr. Milwaukee and I completely agree with you because it doesn't feel like that but they're not I don't think they're going to pay dock rivers the amount of money they're going to have to pay him to sit at home the season's already a wash anyway so they're going to let probably I'm guessing allow him to finish out this season the other question is what about next year Bobby Portis on Fandall TV saying he thinks Doc will be back next year I don't know the validity behind that I don't know anything about that per se I don't know exactly no you know what that can translate to for his future but I don't you know again I don't I don't see the upside necessarily like if they put in Darwin hand like if you're going to make that change it should have been way earlier in my opinion it should have been you know either before the year began or at some point during this season but I think you're kind of down
you know as it is and I don't think there's really any benefit to them having you know to make another change once again oh Mark over on youtube says Milwaukee doesn't even deserve the participation trophy I mean yeah you know it's still I again I hear what you're saying it's not great the vibes aren't great it's definitely frustrating there's no doubt about it you know but you're still seeing some positives throughout the course of the season you're still seeing something I think Pete Nance you know might make you know has has made a little bit of a run this second half of the season Ryan Rounds has been better he's going to be in the conversation for most improved I know for a lot of you he turns the ball over too much and I understand that and that's something he's definitely going to have to clean up Jericho Sims has been fun and has kind of really been a contributor for this second half of the season for the Milwaukee box you know I cam Thomas once again today I don't understand the cam Thomas minutes or the role or why even bring him if you're not going to play him cam Thomas with three points today so again very very hedge
tracking hedge scratching none the less another comment from it's giving here over on youtube said Bobby partisan might be the worst defending big in the league nothing nothing new we knew that I mean that that's just what it is you know that that's just kind of what it is you know there's no surprise there whatsoever you know give Bobby credit from scoring though because you know three of seven from three point range him and Ryan Rounds holding it down I mean they made seven of the bucks I think 12 made three pointers so you know there's there's that you know I mean at least you have something in that as Richard over on youtube or still on the the doc rivers trains that I've never seen anybody in my life seen a franchise keep a coach so long who is brutal and needs to retire nobody will ever hire him again yet this will be Doc Rivers' last day wherever however long it does go whether it's the end of this year or if he does continue to play next year this will be this will be it this will absolutely be it the box fall 122 to 99 27 in 39 on this season have now lost eight of their last nine will pick things up right away tomorrow the box returning home
to play the Indiana Pacers boy if they don't win that game I don't know what to tell you if you can't count on three very quickly and it might already be but my thanks to each and every one and you thank you guys for tuning in I know it's been a top season I know it's been a stressful one a frustrating one but you guys all continue to show up on the locked on bucks postcast and I really really really really greatly appreciate each and every single one of you friendly reminder wherever we get wherever you guys get audio podcasts remember you can get locked on bucks postcast as well over on YouTube so we're available on audio forum apple google spotify amazon and free and available on youtube make sure you hit the subscribe button make sure you hit the thumbs up make sure you hit the notification bell get notified when we go live after a 23 point loss today we'll see if the bucks can rebound in a few different ways we'll see if the bucks can rebound tomorrow as they get set to take on the Pacers and after that final whistle myself and Brian butch he'll be back in the chair with me we'll be breaking that one down as well until next time thank you guys
