Bruin Wins Best in Show at Crufts 2026

0:00On March 8th, a Columbia Spaniel named Bruin took top honors as Best In Show at Cruffs 2026. Handled by owner Lee Cox, the dog beat out nearly 19,000 competitors from around the world at Birmingham's National Exhibition Center. Bruin first claimed victory in the Gundog group before clenching the overall title. Other finalists included a Tibetan mastiff named Viking, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi called Hazel, and a miniature schnauzer named Spencer. The reserved Best In Show went to a Pettit Bassett Griffon Vendine named Megan from Croatia, who had won the Hound Group earlier. Lee Cox called Bruin the dog of a lifetime and a bit of a diva who always delivers in the ring. He shared his disbelief at the win, noting how special it is for the breed. Royal Kennel Club Chief Executive Janine Edgar praised their connection and skill as truly deserving. The event drew 18,698 dogs, 123 more than in 2025.
