Browns Strengthen Roster with Key Signings

0:00On April 6th, the Cleveland Browns just beefed up their roster with some key signings. They brought in free agent cornerback Miles Bryan and locked down six tendered exclusive rights. Free agents, tight-in Brendan Bates, wide receivers. Malachi Corley and Jamari Thresh, linebacker Winston Reed, long snapper Rex Sunahara, and kicker Andre Smith. Bryan is heading into his 7th NFL season after going undrafted out of Washington by the Patriots back in 2020. He suited up for 77 games across New England and Houston, piling up 173 tackles, two sacks, four picks, and 17. Passes knocked away. Last year, he started three of 11 games for the Texans. These moves keep familiar faces around. Bates had three starts and six games last season, with four catches for 48 yards. Corley flashed in 13 games, hauling in 11 passes for 79 yards plus 127 on the ground.

1:00Thresh added 10 grabs for 107 yards in nine outings, while Reed sat out with a back issue, but started three in 2024. Sunahara owned the long snapping gig all last year in 29 career games, with nine special team stops. Smith was money, hitting 24 of 27 field goals and 25 of 26 extras, even snagging AFC special team's player of the week in week 3. With death at corner, special teams locked, and young skill guys retained. The Browns are building momentum for a gritty run stay tuned as training. Camp heats up.
