Browns Sign Tytus Howard to $63M Extension

0:00On March 2nd, the Cleveland Browns have pulled off a key trade, acquiring offensive tackle Titus Howard from the Houston Texans. They're set to sign him to a three-year contract extension worth $63 million. This move bolsters their offensive line heading into the new season. In return, the Texans will get a fifth-round pick from the Browns in the 2026 NFL Draft. Howard a first-round pick back in 2019 and number 23 overall brings plenty of experience after seven seasons in Houston. He started 93 games, playing at guard in both tackle positions, including 16 starts in each of the last two years. Profitball focus ranked him solidly last season. 27th overall among tackles, eighth in pass blocking, but 33rd in run blocking. Earlier in 2025, he graded out 17th overall, 14th in pass protection, and 24th against the run. At 6p5 in 322 pounds, Howard's a physical force up front.
