Broncos Trade for Waddle, Assigns Jersey Number 17

The Denver Broncos just made ways by trading for a wide receiver, Jalen Waddle, and they wasted no time assigning him jersey number 17. That number used to belong to Lil Jordan Humphrey, who wore it in 2023, and again this year after returning to the team. Devon Valet had it in 2024, and now Humphrey is among a few players without a listed number on the roster. It looks like Waddle either worked out a quick deal with Humphrey, or the team handed it over right away following Wednesday's trade announcement. Waddle, a 27-year-old star, is set to team up with Cortland Seton as a top target in Coach Sean Payton's passing game.
