Broncos Re-sign WR Humphrey, Keeping WR Group Intact

0:00On March 12th, the Denver Broncos are bringing back wide receiver Lil Jordan Humphrey on a new deal. This move is part of their plan to hold on to talent, as they've now resigned or tendered contracts to 17 in-house free agents this off season. Humphrey first joined the league as an undrafted free agent from Texas back in 2019, with the New Orleans Saints, where Sean Payton was the head coach. He followed Payton to Denver when the coach took over in 2023, and after a brief stint with the New York Giants last spring, the Broncos grabbed him from their practice squad last November. As 6'4 and 225 pounds, the 27-year-old is a standout blocker who doesn't get a ton of targets in the passing game. Over his career, he's caught 75 passes for 926 yards and 8 touchdowns, including 9 grabs for 101. Yards and 1 score and 7 gains with Denver last fall.
