This incident happened almost five years after her 13-year conservative shift ended, which gave her back control over her finances, legal matters, and business decisions. Just before the arrest, she sold her music catalog for $200 million, gaining major financial independence. Her friend, Philip, who was known her since 2003, suspects foul play. He told reporters that timing feels off, like a push to restart a conservatorship, now that some people lost income when the old one stopped. Spears' representative called it an inexcusable event, but said she plans to follow the law and get the support she needs
