The 44-year-old singer spent just over three hours in jail after being booked at 3.02 a.m. on Thursday, March 5th. She was released by 6.07 a.m. and given a court date of May 4th. Offices pulled her over the night before for speeding, swerving in and out of lanes, and erratic breaking with no-tail light. Her representative called the incident inexcusable, but said Spears plans to comply with the law and make positive changes. The rep noted she will spend time with her sons, 19-year-old Jaden, and 20-year-old Preston, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin, Federline. Loved ones are working on a support plan to help her well-being moving forward. Reports say she was taken to a hospital for a blood test, with her blood alcohol level at 0.06 below the legal limit.
