British Mum & Daughter Need Flight Home from Montenegro Crash

Helen and Nail Barat from Worcester got hit while walking in Boova on April 13th, suffering broken collarbones, spinal fractures, and head, wounds that have left them both immobile. Their travel insurance ran out, and while their global health insurance cards covered emergency care, follow-up treatment is coming out of pocket. Now the family faces a £40,000 bill for a special medical flight home, since commercial planes are off the table. The elder sister Ella, living nearby in Serbia, launched a GoFundMe that's pulling in donations from supportive strangers. She says getting them back to the UK would mean everything, as they're scared and desperate in that foreign hospital. They've reached out to the British Embassy, a local lawyer, and Budva police are investigating the crash. The foreign Commonwealth and Development Office is stepping in to support the family and liaises with authorities.
