British Airways Flight Diverts Due to Medical Emergency

The plane, Flight BA-78, took off from Katoka International Airport at 1025 PM local time on Sunday and was cruising at 38,000 feet when the crew issued the General Emergency Code. Crew diverted the Airbus A-351,000 right away to the nearest airport in Lyon, France. It landed safely at Leon St. Exu Perry at 5.26 AM local time, stayed on the ground for two hours to refuel, then continued on to Heathrow.
