July 12, 1962...A newly formed unnamed band agreed to a favor for a friend by playing at London's Marquee Club. Less than 2 years later, that band named the Rolling Stones after a Muddy Waters song, would be on their first American tour. And more than half a century later are still one of the most popular bands of the rock era.
