Box? What Box? I Don't See Any Box - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast
About this episode
Let’s talk about thinking outside the box – who put that box there, anyway? In almost every circumstance, you did. I put the box there for me, and you put the box there for you.
Beliefs form the boundaries around our lives, and when what we want to do bumps up against what we think we should do based on beliefs we have, that’s when you realize that you’re living your life inside a box.
That phrase “thinking outside the box” is usually meant to describe a state of creativity. What if you got creative about the beliefs that make you bump up against the box? It’s very common to pick up beliefs in childhood that are wrong because you didn’t have the life experience to correctly assess the situation.
Next time you find yourself wanting to do something you believe you can’t, think outside the box: is the belief that’s stopping you true or can you disregard it? Releasing old, incorrect beliefs will let you soar way outside that box!
