Boston Scott, the former Eagles running back, has announced his retirement from the NFL. He shared the news on X this Wednesday and confirmed he won't play this season after sitting out regular season games the past two years. Scott entered the league as a six-round pick by the Saints in 2018. He didn't see regular season action until the Eagles signed him off their practice squad late that year, where he appeared in two games plus the playoffs. Over six years in Philadelphia, Scott served mainly as a backup runner and kick-returner. He totaled 302 carries for 1,295 yards and 16 touchdowns along with 71 catches for five. 166 yards in one score. In 2024, he had short stops with the Rams and Steelers, but only played in preseason games. Those moves didn't lead to a roster spot.
