Boss Pleads Guilty to Funeral Scam, Families Devastated

Bodies wrought in his back rooms while pocketing cash from grieving families. He faced charges of preventing lawful burials, fraud, and theft. After scamming folks out of thousands for funerals that never happened right, police raided the place back in March 2024 after a tip-off, uncovering the bodies plus half a ton of human ashes that didn't match up. Families had spread those ashes, tattooed them into their skin, or kept them as keep-sakes, only to learn they belonged to strangers. Take retire, trawler man, Peter Wellburn, who's 73-year-old wife Shirley, passed in November 2023. He shelled out nearly 2,000 pounds for her send-off and got a box of wrong ashes just in time for Christmas, placing it under the tree with, grandkids around. Meanwhile, Bush stole from 12 charities like Ming-Millen Cancer Support during services, and his business was drowning in 62,000 pounds.

Now Bush is out on bail until July for sentencing, facing years behind bars as families demand justice for stolen goodbyes and shattered memories that no prison term can fully fix.
