On March 29, tragic news out of Derby Searchers found a body believed to be that of 18-year-old Paul Pike, the Birmingham City fan who vanished after their match against Derby last weekend. Paul, who lived with autism in ADHD, was last spotted near a path by the River Derwent following the game on March 21 at Pride Park. Earlier this week, locals from Derby and fans from Birmingham pitched in big time, combing through undergrowth along that path. They even recovered some items thought to be Paul's during the hunt. Around 10.30 a.m. today, March 29, officers discovered the body, not treated as suspicious, with no signs of anyone else involved. Paul's family has been told when they're asking for privacy now, while police prep a report for the corner and thank everyone who helped search. Rest in peace, young blue.
