How are you doing this morning? We are doing well. Bob, how was your weekend? Did you watch football or did you try to get away? I hope to watch more football than I did. I watched a little bit, but not enough to satisfy the desire and to take advantage of the opportunity to have a weekend to watch football. There was a lot going on in the family and elsewhere too that kept me away from the TV.

2:24And then listen to the radio a little bit as well going here and there. But I didn't see a lot, but I was surprised by some of the results that I saw. Yeah, when you see the results, does you know week one, if you look at week one last year, you know, the Patriots obviously lost to a team that ended up having the number one pick in the draft and the Patriots made the Super Bowl. Do you look at the first couple games of the season as extended preseason as many do? I think, by the way, the teams handle the preseason nowadays, you almost have to the and I wonder too, like looking at yesterday's results and kind of how teams got to where they did and the offense is averaging 24 points per game, a lot of running in comparison to years past to start the season. And I was just reading Mike Sando's column on the athletic about, you know, the strategic or the schematic offensive changes quarterbacks under center more in week one this year, et cetera.

3:24And I wonder how much of that, you know, the poor taking advantage of poor tackling and taking advantage of teams that just aren't ready to hit and play in week one, the way they might have been in years past when they played more extensively. I think that there is a, you know, there is an adjustment period, Bill Belchick used to talk about that with his approach to the first few weeks. I think now it's even more stark for a lot of teams going from the preseason to week one when you just haven't been out there hitting in the preseason. And it's pretty remarkable to me to think about how little they hit it all in the preseason and then through the rest of the season. So I think it takes time for the fundamentals eventually to for players to grasp those and to see a representative product out there that and then catch you a lot more about the teams you're watching. I just really want to real quick just bring up something that's going to come up all year is Kendrick born had eight catches for 75 yards against the chargers yesterday. Now that AJ Brown is out and they're saying I guess six weeks John is according to you in rap report yesterday six weeks.

4:29Yeah, in rap report, which is Adam Schefter if Adam Schefter is busy. Yeah, right. You know, they throw him a bone. Sure occasionally. Now that they're at the same company. Yeah. Yeah, that's got to all my points. But anyway, but so, but so, you know, born would have been nice. Do you stand by the reasoning to ship them off? Ship off country porn. Yeah, you mean booty or booty. Oh, I'm sorry, booty, booty, booty. I meant booty. I'm sorry. Go ahead. Do it well. I mean, he's somebody that I would have loved is to see stick around, but I understand why he didn't. And, you know, I think it goes, it goes back to the decision to me when they were in a situation where they didn't have digs and they didn't have AJ Brown, who of course is expected to be the replacement for digs and more than that.

5:29And I think the decision to sign Romeo dobs. I think sometimes I've seen a lot of people and heard a lot of people compare the decision to trade booty with the decision to keep in and continue to try to develop Kyle Williams. And I don't think I think the real question is, is, is dobs booty. Once they made that commitment to dogs and free agency, having already drafted Kyle Williams, you're going the third round. And he had a better rookie year than I think a lot of people will give them credit for certainly a better rookie year than K Sean did. And I believe K Sean should have stuck around as insurance, but I understand why they didn't keep. I just thought the commitment had been made elsewhere. And of course, the opportunity presented itself to get AJ Brown for them was something they had to do. And now you have the surplus of receivers. I even said to Mike Reese, I texted Mike before I heard Mike for able say this. I think it's potentially a problem if you can't assume injury, you can't assume full health, but if let's say, you know, they're in a situation where

6:34they've got to make receivers inactive on game day. Well, the guys were more prone to be inactive for those that don't play on special teams. And so now you're going to have, if you had seven receivers and you had four of them, it didn't play on special teams. And so you have dobs and Brown who've got to be active and those are the guys you've committed to. And those are the guys that I think booting mostly aligns with in terms of the offense. Then there's a good chance he's going to be an active and potentially that's a problem for a guy that wants to be, you know, signed a new contract and have a good year in his final year under his current contract. So I understand the reducing forward. I also understand all the questions and I thought it was one of the first things I thought of as the game I ended up. No brown dobs had a bad game. And oh boy, K-Shown booties no longer here. And I was reading Ken Rick porn stats. Booty had one catch for 21 yards. Now I apologize. I got the stats. Stefan Stefan digs had four catches and the goal post right after the touchdown, which pushed them back out of a two point conversion.

7:37Territory say, you know, you would have taken the good with the bad on that. But Bob back to something you said about the hitting that they're experiencing for the first time in this in this game. I also think it's game speed and other teams seem to handle that better than the Patriots. And we were talking about it earlier and maybe it was part of the game plan, game plan for the Patriots to kind of take it a little more heel toe approach against Seattle in their season opener. But the speed of the play, whether it's the receivers, the quarterbacks, the running backs. And I know you're down your speediest receiver with the Patriots and you're down your fast running back with Travian Henderson. But man, it's not just the hitting that they don't seem used to in week one for the Patriots. They just by comparison to yesterday's games look like they were playing in about three quarter speed in their game against Seattle on Wednesday night. Well, I think the thing about the past during the preseason that a lot of people expected coming out of camp is that they would play at a higher tempo that they wanted to be faster in and out of the huddle and wanted to play more up tempo.

8:48No huddle this is coming season. And I think some players you've been talking about that during training camp. I do think that in Seattle, the circumstances there were the crowd noise. I think concerned about the matchup. I do think that Mike Vable talked about this with zone the pregame. And it's clear to me based on what they did in the offseason and acquiring a guy like Reggie Gilliam. And then the decision to keep a blocking primarily a blocking is not only a blocking tied end on the rosters and undrafted free agent is that they want to be a team that is physically imposing in the running game. And so I think that all factored into their approach offensively in the game. And I don't know how much of that attracted from the speed that you want to see them play with. I also think that in terms of playing up tempo and in trying to go to higher speed. Let's see what they do this week against the Steelers at home. And I think that you know this game will be a lot more indicative. I think of the way they want to play overall for the rest of the season as opposed to that first game in Seattle dealing with that environment.

9:54This is a leftover question that I didn't get a chance to ask you on Thursday morning. I want to ask you about the two rookies. Ackas and Lomo. I don't remember seeing Lomo play at all on offense. And Ackas after don't getting nowhere near the quarterback during the preseason. All of a sudden had two big plays. How do you explain that? Well, I think he's a he's got a really tremendous motor. I mean, you know, that's sorry. It's sound so cliché. But you know, you even when you watch them in practice and in the preseason game sometimes when he got himself in trouble. Just just because of the speed at which he was trying to play and where he was going wasn't necessarily where he needed to be. And I thought he made a couple of instinctive plays in that game. I think some of it, you know, is also the residue of what his teammates were doing around him in terms of the sack. And so I think it's, you know, it's not just him, but I think, you know, when you look at a guy like that, he's a football player and a tremendous athlete. And I think, you know, he's a guy that they coveted for reason. The Mike variable really took to for reason. And you heard other people I think around the league and a lot of a violator say that.

11:01You know, the draft next that, you know, he's a guy that has first round ability, the injury questions. Certainly, I think followed him into the second round where the Patriots got him. But when he's on the field, he's got a chance to make something good happen. The flip side of that, of course, is a young player and really needing to learn that position. It is that sometimes he's going to be in a place where bad things happen as a result. So I think, you know, what we saw from him in those two plays wasn't all that surprising to me based on what we saw in training camp. What I want to see though is when he gets into a game and he's on the edge. And now he's got to make a decision and read the back coming out of the backfield and, you know, take away a screen in the flat or not run past the quarterback on a play. And I've said that he did that the other night. But I think those are the things that I'm tell us a lot more about gave Accuses development down down the road in these next few weeks than what we saw on Seattle as a great star for him, I think. And what he did in that game, but I think the real signs of who he's going to be as a player going forward. You know, we still haven't seen yet.

12:07Well, he certainly looked very athletic. Now you got a real barn burner coming up this weekend. If I may say so, Bobby, if you go by the way, the Steelers played yesterday, another very defensive heavy team coming in that much of an offense Aaron Rogers through 40 times for 15 yards. He managed to get that accomplished. Are you looking for a bit of a slog on Sunday? Yeah, I think that well, I think the Patriots have a great opportunity in this game. I think you go back to up tempo. I mean, to come out and kind of kind of reset the season, obviously, after week one, you know, it's hard to tell with Pittsburgh. Again, I didn't see much of the game. I did record it and we'll watch in a bit. You're going up against Cooper rush and that team in week one. And as you mentioned, fairly threw it a lot, but Rogers really wasn't all that effective. And I don't think you know, Pittsburgh is a team that has some really good defensive players, but as I said, I think that the Patriots in this game, I wouldn't be surprised if they did try to go up tempo and really tried to wear them out defensively in this game.

13:18So I could see it being a slog for a while in the Patriots despite the absence of AJ Brown. And especially if they get trained on Henderson back in Josh McDaniels can diversify a little bit more in the running and passing game. I think that this is an opportunity for them to show the fans and I think they have to. The, you know, they're a lot better than what they showed in that fourth quarter in Seattle. Yeah. And you know, you're not concerned about Drake May's decision making. I mean, that's a really bad decision at the end of that game. It absolutely is. You know, the one thing I think that gets lost to some of the analysis of that decision, by the way, as Mike is one of our cats is trying to intrude on our conversation here. Well, don't kick it. I'm not. I was going to throw it, but I said, no, do not do that. I'm kidding. I would never do that. Oh, Bob, thank you for. I mean, I've heard a lot of people talk about like, do you want to take away that aggressiveness in what's the, where's the line between aggressiveness and recklessness?

14:18I've said that about that play. Well, that's what I'm saying. In general, I think in general, I think in general, you know, and so I, like, the first two decisions were not good decisions on the two interceptions. One down the line down the sideline to dobs and the other over the middle to Douglas, but I got to understand those a bit because of, especially because of the natural gifts that he has. Well, you're going to throw interceptions and you want to go down to be afraid to go down field when he's so fact down field, but you have to know where you are in a game. Like, when I mean, yeah, I mean, there's there's bad throws and there's bad decisions. And then there's what happened at the end of that game, which is being completely unaware of the situation. And floating a ball up when you would have been, but you, I mean, you even would have been off taking a sack. I mean, you could have done anything at that point. Well, just throwing out of the end zone, but that would be ideal. Well, that's what I was going to get to. I was going to say, I think that's why I separate that decision from the others, because really, I think to me, and maybe I'm seeing this too simplistically, I think the decision is made before you ever get to the line.

15:21Like, you know what the play is. And if it's not there right away, the decision is made for you. Get rid of the ball because your objective there obviously you want to win the game. But worst case, you want to have the field goal. You're in it out there to tie the game and get you into overtime. So you can win it there. So I think that's why I separate that decision from the other two decisions. And I think, you know, that that was troublesome. I think, you know, certainly he's though the unkind of guy that it seems like is going to learn from that. And, you know, again, I think that's why this this week will be a real real measure of the patriots in general, but I think of Drake May too. And I would expect him to come out and make better decisions in this game. And I think that, you know, he's a kind of kid thus far we've seen it from his first two years as a quarterback, where he's learned from those types of things. Yeah, it would be nice for him, certainly if he could come out and have a good game on Sunday. All right. Well, listen, Bob Soci, he's very busy with his cats and everything.

The Lions was the, they had Chris Myers every game. Chris Myers was just basically the home announcer because the Jets do get good announcing teams because they're a New York team sometimes. They'll get I an Eagle because they throw an Eagle bone and they're just like, do the jet game. You live in New York. And I do believe in there. And they're like, it's the number one media market. Like you go do the game. But the Lions got Chris Myers for what 15 years and Chris Myers is fine. The Spiro Agnew guy was absolutely terrible. Patriots start well. Patriots. I don't know his real name, but I can tell you it's from Greece because Alcholetta or whatever the hell is name is Adam or Chiletta wouldn't get off him being from Greece. And then apparently there's a life size replica, a life size or whatever you call it, like

26:54a real size replica of the Parthenon in Nashville because it's a very classy place and that needed to be done. And they showed that and then he got on him for not being to Parthenon because again, he's Greek. I don't understand the whole thing about being Greek because I'll just call Jerry Stas and Opless if I want to talk to a Greek guy. His dad owned Leo's Coney Islands, which there's one in Metro Airport now so you can imagine the amount of money flowing out of that family. Patriots has started well. They had Toreco and Collinsworth, right? For the NFL and they had Nance and JJ Wat this weekend. I'll tell you what Collinsworth did though in hindsight. Is he really went all in on how well the offensive line was playing as almost to make up for his insults during the Super Bowl? And then it turned out that the offensive line wasn't so great at the end of that game. So but he was leaning into that pretty hard in the first half. It's almost like he felt bad for how hard he went on Will Campbell and Will Campbell didn't really have any issues until the fourth quarter, but he really was an all in on Will Campbell

27:59playing well, which is great until he wasn't playing so well. So I don't think all of the, we've tied up the whole Will Campbell situation into a tidy little bow. It breaks this weekend either for him. No. And if I was the Steelers, I would just go here and all game, wear them down. TJ, you're over here. Stay right next to that guy. Yep. Let's just see what he's got with these little arms. Just look at him. Look at him on the first couple of plays. See how he reacts to that. Yeah. Then cross the line of scrimmage. You might not, you might not even have to. They should be Pittsburgh. Yes. That's a real disappointment. He's losing to the Seahawks on the road. Obviously there's no crime in that. 29:03Murray is stepping on the toes of the Sports Hub golf club? It seems to be posting a lot of golf content on his Instagram. My opinion of his last videos, swing looks better than you'd think after he described his play, but a pretty bad lag putt. Blum, blah, blah, blah. I have seen the Chris Forsberg golf content. What's he doing specifically? He's playing his favorite golf courses that raceway course that he plays and he's, he's you know, doing shots of his shots and he's showing off his golf course and he is trying to become a, I mean, there's, there's no two ways about it. We can get Chris on the phone and ask him, but it appears to me. It is inarguable. He is trying to become a golf influencer, a golf social media guy. So here's the question. Are you going to criticize and go after him or are you calling it gently? Here's what you need to do. Well, it's not a golf influencer. So I have no business to tell him what he needs to do.

30:03I already said privately to some people yesterday that I was speaking to what I thought of his golf videos and I will repeat them now. Call me an old, funny, dirty, if you want to use that kind of language. I think you should tuck his shirt in. I think you start there. I'll tell you this. If he's trying to be a golf influencer, good job because, you know, when everyone in the world does something, there's a lot of things that I can do. There's a lot of money in it because that is capitalism right there to a tee. Supply and demand. When everybody in the world is making content, everybody, like someone will make a nice comment like on Instagram. I look on it like everyone else and I'll look at the profile, especially if it's a female. And then I'll see that they're like trying to put viral content out there. And I'm just, that's great.

31:03There's no money in this. You're never going to make money. There are like three golf, you know, specific golf content sites where sites, I would say accounts where their sole purpose is to, you know, create content for Instagram that I think are, you know what, there's not even that many because one of them I'm thinking of are the original get back guys and they hire these guys to come out and chirp people on the tee at like 30 events. The original guys are very funny. Yes. But they're not doing that for Instagram. They're doing that as, as a means to make money, I think they get a hire to go out and do that. And the fact that somebody took videos of them and posted it is, yeah, that's not the sole purpose of why they're doing it. And I told you, I played in those back-to-back events in a couple of weeks where I, I saw one influencer and played with them and then just saw another one out there and I'm against it. I'm against it because A, they're awful, awful, you know, like awful at the game and the

32:10content sucks. I don't understand what the point of it is other than just to be famous. It's a free run of golf is what that is. I'll tell you this. And how sad is that? How much is being the first two? Like if you're the first person to do something, then there or the second, but when you're the millionth person to do it, the chances of you making it, like first hot girl that did a golf thing or a tennis thing or a bowling thing or whatever, fine. Hot girl doing something. Hot girls usually aren't associated with fantastic. Now you're the millionth hot girl or relatively attractive girl. Oh, yeah, I hate that. sideline report sponsored by chat GPT is certainly something wrote another. Well, yeah, it's 40% of the market or something is like tied up in AI money. And look, AI is very concerning and there's reports coming out that it's that are very troubling. And there's no question about it. But I read that same story and I thought they were going to go have gone to something that was AI. No. And that was ready to be out. Yes, yes. But it's just an ad for something that exists that we all know about that again is like

42:22a tremendous amount of the economy right now is into these companies that really aren't making money apparently. At very novice level, if not wrong about a lot of this stuff, but to open AI in these companies, this is what's carrying the market apparently right now. So I mean, to hide your head in the sand and exact this act like this doesn't exist. And I don't is chat, chat GPT, the one that's like actively trying to sabotage the company that it's making it. Have you heard about that? No. No. So this is true. So AI now for one of the open AI or one of the other companies, they had found without the influence of programmers had the AI had been getting together to find out how to cheat and how to work around rules and actually hacked into one of the employee run like discussion boards. And so like it's operating on its own and it doesn't have like a moral code.

43:28And I'm not making this up. This is not wrong. This is absolutely correct. This is in the news like real news. And I might might be telling it exactly right, but it's right enough that it's got the not guys that are ex out of the company, but people in the company have come out openly and gone, oh, that's not great. Well, we don't have a lot of time, but there was another story where they tested it by saying there was one employee that was trying to shut down the AI division and the AI started going through this employee's emails and trying to find stuff to get him fired. Yes, but at least that was an order from a human. Yeah. And it was a test. This wasn't something that it did independently like a thought of on it. Yes, it was not what it was programmed to do and it was done completely independently. In so much is that the AI wasn't supposed to be talking to one another, not only that, but then they were trying to figure out how to cheat and then figuring out ways to cheat and one of them was to break into hack into one of these employee discussions to find out

44:30how to solve this problem by cheating. So there are some red flags just a few. Yeah. Yeah. And you can't dwell on it or you'll go insane.
