Bob Harlan, a key figure in Green Bay Packer's history, passed away on March 5th at the age of 89. The Des Moines native rose to become one of the team's most influential executives. He grew up in Des Moines and went to Dowling High School back when it was all boys. Harlan later earned a spot in the Des Moines Sunday Registers Iowa Sports Hall of Fame in 2015. Packer's president and CEO Ed Policy shared the team's grief in a statement. He called Harlan a visionary leader who transformed the franchise. Harlan made big moves like hiring Ron Wolf to boost the team's performance on the field. He also worked hard to redevelop Lambo field. His efforts helped bring the Packers back to top competition and set them up for long-term success. The organization remembers him as a cornerstone of their history.
