Bob Harlan, Green Bay Packers CEO, Passes Away

Bob Harlan, the former president and chief executive officer of the Green Bay Packers, has passed away at the age of 89. He led the team for 19 years until his retirement in 2008. The Packers announced his death on Thursday. Harlan joined the organization back in 1971 as assistant general manager before rising to the top role in 1989. Under his watch, the team turned around decades of poor performance and became a consistent contender. They made two Super Bowl appearances and posted winning records for 13 straight seasons from 1992 through 2004. Team leaders remember Harlan for key moves like hiring a top general manager and upgrading Lambo Field. Those efforts helped secure the franchise's long-term stability.
