Bob Fosbury & Scott Zimmerman: How & Why Life is Solar Powered
About this episode
Scott is an optics engineer with over 35 years of experience in the industry and over 80 US patents. In the last decade, Scott has turned his attention to how light interacts with the body. This has led him to becoming an expert on the physiology of melatonin and how NIR/IR light propagates through living tissue.
Bob is an astronomer and honorary professor at UCL where he plays a pivotal role in Glen Jeffrey’s lab. Bob is also a key part of the Guy Foundation where his particular expertise is integrated into a broader and transdisciplinary team with a focus on quantum biology. Bob’s work has been crucial in our understanding of tissue transparency and the role of light in life.
