On April 29th, Bowen-Nix's ankle recovery just hit a snack for the Denver Broncos. The rookie quarterback broke a bone in his right ankle back in January, and last week he had a scheduled cleanup procedure with his surgeon. Now it looks like he might miss more of the team's off-season workouts than expected. Organized team activities kick off June 2nd, and reporters from the Athletic and ESPN say it's unclear if Nix will even hit the field for those. Sessions, or how much time he'll get, still, the good news is he's on track to be fully ready when training camp starts in July. This comes right after Whispers earlier this spring about Aaron Rogers as a possible emergency starter for Denver. But the Jetsvets situation hasn't changed much. Pittsburgh slapped a free agent tender on him, meaning they get a draft pick if he signs elsewhere. Before late July, IYH one-setting station. Lead Buzz has it, Rogers' main paths are re-upping with the Steelers or hanging it up, with no real other team circling. Broncos made it clear back in April,

they weren't interested in a visit. Coming off that AFC championship run, Denver's banking on Nix bouncing back strong, so any Rogers talk feels like a long shot while they wait out. This recovery phase.
