🛑GameStop received a proposal from Strive Asset Management to convert $5 billion in cash reserves into Bitcoin, aiming to make it the top Bitcoin treasury in gaming. GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen acknowledged the proposal but hasn’t commented further. Strive, co-founded by ex-presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, argues that Bitcoin is a better store of value than cash.

👹GitVenom
Hackers are spreading crypto-stealing malware through fake GitHub repositories in a campaign called GitVenom, targeting developers. According to Kaspersky, attackers create legitimate-looking projects, such as Telegram bots for Bitcoin wallets, which contain malware to steal browsing history, crypto wallet data, and replace copied wallet addresses. Stolen data, including passwords and banking details, is sent via Telegram. Most infections have been found in Russia, Brazil, and Turkey. Kaspersky urges caution when using third-party code. Meanwhile, Microsoft recently warned about a new XCSSET malware variant targeting crypto wallets on Apple macOS devices through infected Xcode projects.

He linked the breach to previous hacks of Jupiter DAO (Feb 2025) and DogWifCoin X (Nov 2024), clarifying that neither project's team was at fault. ⭐The Pump.fun team confirmed the hack and is working on restoring the account. This is part of a wave of social media hacks promoting fake tokens, following the recent $1.4 billion Bybit hack.
🚨India’s Central Bureau Of Investigation. (CBI) is conducting nationwide raids in connection with the GainBitcoin scam, which defrauded 8,000 investors of $75.8 million. The Ponzi scheme, run by Amit and Vivek Bhardwaj, promised 10% monthly Bitcoin returns but misused investor funds. The brothers were arrested in 2017, and Amit passed away in 2022.
