- MARA Holdings plans to issue $700M in zero-coupon notes due 2031, with proceeds for Bitcoin purchases, repurchasing $50M in 2026 notes, and corporate needs. 💰 MicroStrategy makes it's fourth straight weekly purchase of bitcoin

MicroStrategy is halfway to its $21 billion goal through stock sales to fund Bitcoin purchases. Recently, it sold 3.7 million shares for $1.5 billion, increasing its Bitcoin holdings to around $38 billion. 🔴 DMM Bitcoin, a Japanese crypto exchange, will shut down and transfer its accounts and assets to SBI VCトレード Trade in March 2024 following a $305 million hack in May. The hack, which resulted in the theft of over 4,500 Bitcoin, led DMM Bitcoin to restrict services like withdrawals and spot asset purchases. The exchange acknowledged that continuing operations under these conditions would harm customers. While the hack's perpetrators are unclear, the Lazarus Group, linked to North Korea, has been suspected. SBI VC Trade will take over DMM Bitcoin's assets and begin handling 14 cryptocurrency spot trades before the transfer.
