Black Activists RAGE Over Fat Joe Giving Himself An N-Word Pass

0:00What I gotta keep explaining this to these n****s I'm there from hip hop Hip hop did not invent the N word this is ignorance this is pure ignorance right here The first documented use of the N word to describe black people which has evolved since then was 1619 And by 1775 it was documented that it was being used as a pejorative A derogatory word against black people So for at least the last 250 years black people have been subjected to that slur by races That don't like us that are trying to hurt us with a word You're talking about a word that hateful people used against us from slavery to reconstruction to segregation All throughout Jim Crow the 60s 70s 80s 90s 2010s who now you look online It's just about any black person social media posts and there will be a white person other races as well that would use that word as a pejorative to Offend and dehumanize us and I can guarantee you in all his life a white person has never called him the N word So Fadjo acted so offended and dismissive like it's a badge that comes with being a rapper's ridiculous So we have ourselves a very interesting

1:00Contravacy that is brewing with fat Joe somebody who's been in the rap game for a very long time It and a bunch of online black people who are really angry at the fact that fat Joe says the N word and in addition to that They're angry at the host of the Joe Budden podcast for not calling him out letting him say it on the show letting him claim to be the blackest N word that you've ever met in your entire life And this is absolutely fascinating because much in the same way that we got into that controversy Related to that ruler woman who used the term monkey to describe to Hakeem Jeffries He by name his name is Hakim Hakim in Arabic is an Arabic name which means healer. He's not a healer. He's a divider he is A bot and paid by a pack monkey Round and round the monkey And a bunch of people who of course put palisine above anything wanted to give her a past You have a lot of people who would normally jump on board with this normally be absolutely outraged by this Suddenly very much in bitch mode not fighting back against it and essentially saying that fat Joe is kind of grandfathered in

2:08Into the people that can say the N word which is rather strange It's rather odd because he's being grandfathered in because he thinks he's black because he's Puerto Rican But the fact is I'm half Puerto Rican and none of these people would ever consider giving me such a pass I was here. 4:12You know, he's saying he is black so that was Mark Le Mans Hill and if you guys are recall he was on Pierce Morgan Absolutely freaking out when Pierce Morgan dared a white panelist to say the N word He had a complete and total meltdown in that situation But all of a sudden right here in this moment when the subject is fat Joe who by the way Mark Le Mans Hill back in 2009 actually tweeted about how it was unacceptable for him to say the N word and he didn't like it Now Mark Le Mans Hill suddenly doesn't want to police anybody's ethnicity I am not trying to police anybody's ethnicity. I am not trying to police anybody's racial identity But what I will say is fat Joe seems to be using black here Ironically or he's using it metaphorically. We know we've seen fat Joe's parents He's he tells the truth fat Joe doesn't lie Fat Joe is very transparent. We know who fat Joe is we've seen as childhood pictures We know who his parents are we know his ethnic origins We know as ethnic roots and we know that there's no reason to believe based on that that he is black

5:15Also fat Joe has talked about his support of the black community his love of the black community his solidarity with the black community Now Mark Le Mans Hill all of a sudden doesn't want people to be upset at the Joe button guys for not calling him out in the moment for not getting in his face over it When again, he did not have that same energy on Pierce Morgan And he would never have that same energy for somebody who's not as famous and not as prominent and not as unapologetic as fat Joe I'm saying that to say fat Joe has love for black people fat Joe is not racist fat Joe cares about black people But fat Joe is not black I have no issue with fat Joe's relationship to the black community But fat Joe is not black fat Joe was basically saying I grew up around black people I grew up in hip hop I'm a part of the culture. I am in scot and stinted in the culture. I agree with all of that But fat Joe is not black So while I love fat Joe and I admire fat Joe and I appreciate fat Joe I don't share his position that he can use the inward by virtue of his proximity to the culture or his

I don't think that's enough Now if you guys don't know if you guys are unaware of my position on this essentially every single intellectual argument about how it makes no sense To delineate who can say certain words based on race as a mechanism in order to fight back against racism I completely 100% understand buy into and agree with on a philosophical level that being said I don't find all that much value in this conversation It's rather boring it ends up coming up against the same exact issues each and every time and this is why I'm not one of those people who's like Yeah, the biggest thing that we need to talk about in America each and every day is whether or not it's hypocritical for black people To be mad and want to fight and want to kill white people for saying the end word while they use it in their own vocabulary in almost every sentence We all understand that that's stupid We all understand that that's idiotic But the fact is a lot of people who are really focus on this train Don't really have anything interesting to add to the conversation because there hasn't been anything interesting

7:21Added to the conversation in a very long time and I will also add that I do find it a bit cowardly that you have people And sometimes I meet these people in the media that like to use the word behind the scenes But would never do so on air they'll also get mad if they hear somebody else use it on air And of course this is actually happened with a bunch of lefty streamers who again if you go through their text messages when they're leaked Almost always have the n-bomb here or the n-bomb there and sometimes a very Deregatory context that again they would call somebody out for a much less derogatory context if they were to use it in public I find that to be weak I find that to be ridiculous and I say this is somebody who doesn't actually use it in my private life because I'm not somebody who listens to rap music I'm not somebody who like embraces all these different media things that has that word in it And I'm just somebody who doesn't really care and doesn't have any interest in using it privately or publicly Because you have a lot of black people as soon as you make the argument that it makes no sense that can understand that logical thought process

8:23But as their rebuttal because they have no counter they end up saying well you just want to use the word You just want to get away with calling people that you just want to make a big thing And this is the thing that you want to do and you're mad that people are holding you accountable when in reality I could care less about your magical word your term of endearment that is obviously the biggest racial slur ever when uttered by the wrong person I just find this interesting right here because you have that Joe saying that he grew up in the neighborhoods that invented hip hop He grew up around black people that were using it and as a New Yorker as somebody who was Puerto Rican in those ghetto hood neighborhoods He's somebody who grew up using the word without any issue from those of the people that were around him And that's because if we're being perfectly honest Typically it depends on how close you are to the blackness spectrum on whether or not you can use it Obviously black people are considered okay to use it Puerto Ricans and other Hispanics it depends on how dark they are It depends on how they dress in their mannerisms they end up getting a pass And then you move outwards to like Indians and Asians and most of the time that they get a no

9:28And then of course white people absolutely terrible they can never use it white people bad white people Always see the most evil in the entire world So obviously this prohibition is just a made up thing that is being expanded and contracted whenever it's convenient Because in reality this is about power and control rather than actual legitimate offense to the words Have these people you have these people who are now saying Saying you can't say things you can't represent hip hop Hear me hear me out now. They was on him for like saying that because you know That That you're not allowed to embrace the culture and you had a very strong opinion on y'all This is my culture too. We've also helped built it Do you feel like what's the question? I'm good. Do you feel like there was any point where you were wrong and what you represented? Are you crazy? This is a no brainer. Okay. This is a no brainer. I grew up in hip hop where they invented Hip hop guys. I don't know if you could fathom that

So yeah, I do find it funny that these guys who are super pro black on their podcast Are all of a sudden backing down getting apologetic or not being very defensive of this word when you have fat Joe there Because it's somebody with a celebrity status a strong hip hop background somebody that they might personally be fans of And they don't want to call him out in the way that they would call out somebody else Even if they were the same exact ethnic background as fat Joe grew up in the same neighborhood And again, they were people that used this word as they were growing up But weren't actually famous again This is an issue of power. This is an issue of control And it's still not a very interesting issue or conversation because in reality the rules around the magic word are just dumb

They're absurd But the thing is much in the same way that the rules around drawing Muhammad are absolutely idiotic when you have a certain section of the population That is willing to escalate to violence over this and then a larger section of the population That will in fact endorse that violence Sign on for it and in fact anytime there's a case where somebody who is black attacks a white person and it's completely savage unjustified In any way you will see comments on social media making the case that the white person must have said the end word And that will be enough to flip a significant portion of the black population in favor of the person who committed the crime without any Justification because this is where we're at with again a certain section of the black population in the United States of America You said yo fadjo ain't black know I am black Fadjo is the blackest you have seen in your life That's go looking up that being said it is funny to see fat Joe say that he is black that he's the blackest and word You've ever met in your life say it to black people put his arm around a black person or at least on his shoulder while he's saying it

12:43And then for this guy to catch all the heat and all the fire and all the smoke and response to this as you have a bunch of Gen Z types getting really angry Saying that this is absolutely terrible and trying to give you the history of the word as if that's gonna have any impact on fat Joe even a little bit Now again while this is entertaining while I definitely love infighting amongst the left wing The fact is if this conversation is so uninteresting It's been had so many different times people have broken it down analyze it They talked about the hypocrisy among the black community in relation to this word they talked about the hypocrisy of people who advocate for free speech in relation to this word And yet nothing changes culturally and in fact we actually get significantly worse culturally when it comes to this word Because if you guys are on call when we used to have n-word controversies in the past People would actually read the quotes on the news of the people that they were condemning and that is now considered something that's racist And now they'll cut together Compilations of people who do that that happened to friend of the channel

We've actually gotten worse. We got more restrictive We've gotten more absurd and this is what fat Joe finds himself being caught up in and all I have to say is well Sad day for you. That's your problem You have to deal with it and it is funny that you talk about the origin of hip hop as if it is the origin of the word And you have all of a sudden a bunch of people who consider themselves like tiktok scholars on the n word Deciding that they're going to lecture you on this and tell you what's up And again, it's just an absurdity stacked onto an absurdity
