Leading the pack is Brittany Dionne, who anchors first at 9 and news at 10 on weekday evenings at WBRC Fox 6. A Birmingham native, she grew up in neighborhoods like Fairfield and Robuck, attending city and county schools before studying at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Leanne originally pursued business, but switched pass after a class visit to a newsroom sparked her passion for the fast paced world of journalism. She started her career as a multimedia journalist in Columbus, Georgia from 2011 to 2015, then moved to the Tupper. Jacksonville, Florida, market for three more years. There, she covered major events like the Paul's Nightclub shooting that claimed 49 lives and hurricane Matthew, helping her team win a regional. Edward R. Murrow Award.
