Birmingham Drug Line Bosses Jailed

0:00On March 14th, two Birmingham men have been jailed for running a major drug line called Frankie that handled over 81,000 calls from. Customers ordering cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin. The 26-year-old Ishaq Ayaz and 20-year-old Nhumain Mahmoud operated it daily from 9am to 9pm across the city center, Balsal. Heath, Mosley, and Celioq, starting in August 2023 and running until October 2024. The line blasted out text messages to crowds of people, letting them know it was open for business with top quality drugs. One person stayed glued to the phone taking orders, then passed them to a runner for delivery. Police zeroed in on Ayaz after spotting him, topping up the line's phone in August 2024 with cell data putting his personal phone right. Nearby most of the time, officers raided a city center spot tied to Ayaz in October 2024, nabbing Mahmoud on arrival with drug wraps, the Frankie handset, and wads of cash.

1:01They also uncovered 7,000 pounds in cash, class A drugs, and weighing scales. In total, the bus seized 495 wraps, 222 grams of the hard stuff, and over 9,000 pounds. Both pleaded guilty to supplying the drugs and got sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court on March 11th. Ayaz drew seven years and four months behind bars, while Mahmoud got two years and three months. Midlands police say this shut down a big player bringing misery to users and neighborhoods, and they're keeping up the pressure with more arrests. And line takedowns across the region.
