Doug joins Bill after another successful breast cancer golf fundraiser, but instead of the obligatory “we raised money and everybody had fun” recap, Bill wants to know something bigger: Why do some people care about a cause while others actually DO something about it?

That leads to 700 Jell-O shots, 180 deviled eggs, shitty golf for a great cause, one VERY angry raffle winner—and the idea that you don’t have to save the world. Maybe you just need to pick one little corner of it and give a damn.

Then the conversation turns to Dolly Parton and something increasingly rare: being genuinely beloved. Beyond the rhinestones, the songs and the jokes was a smart, generous woman who somehow spent decades being famous without giving half the country a reason to hate her.

And because this is Billified, naturally we finish with an NFL owner, a prostitution sting, $160, a trailer park and a serious question buried underneath all the insanity: When consenting adults are involved, what exactly are we trying to protect people from?

Charity. Legacy. Dolly. Elvis impressions. Deviled eggs. Prostitution laws.

Somehow it all makes sense.
