Bill Barnwell: Jawaan Taylor Top Colts Free Agent Target

Joanne Taylor, with right tackle Braden Smith now in Houston, the Colts need a reliable starter there. Taylor, a proven pass blocker from his time with the Jaguars and Chiefs, could fill that gap right away. Barnwell points out that second-year tackle Jalen Travis stepped up late last season with solid play and limited action. He allowed just one sec over 175 pass blocking snaps and graded well in the run game. Still, Travis has only 316 career snaps, leaving some doubt about a full-time role. Taylor shines in pass protection, ranking high in win rates during his three years in Kansas City. A second-round pick in the 2019 draft, he stayed durable until a recent elbow injury sidelined him for the final five games. At nearly 29, penalties have kept him off the market so far. The Colts might hesitate though.
