About this episode
Today we talk to Andy a seasoned adventurer with a passion for extreme endurance sports. Andy tells us about the time he competed in the Iditarod Trail Invitational (ITI). In this event participants can choose to hike, bike or ski either 350 or 1000 miles of distance. Andy, with his fat tire bike, got caught in -40 degree weather, and had to navigate through a treacherous snowstorm. Andy's resilience and determination shine through as he shares firsthand accounts of triumphs and tribulations along the trail in this multi day journey.
Andy's stories illuminate the beauty of the Alaskan wildlife, landscape and the breathtaking beauty of the northern lights all while pushing one's limits and finding comfort in discomfort.
