Others worry that, in response, Russia is turning into a “big” Iran which will operate permanently outside Western institutions and norms and actively thwart the West and its agenda. The remainder of the program focuses on the Trudeau government’s plunging poll numbers and what this says about the state and future of progressive politics as a group of prominent progressive leaders gather in Montreal.
