4:05So it has a changed man, everybody. You know, I'm just turning over a new leaf, I believe. They said, I missed the lifestyle pod because I was doing something for, and I was, I really, I loved doing it last year. And it's probably good to have new blood though, right? To rotate. You and cracked it last year. I hope crack wasn't offended that he was on this year, but it was, you and cracked it last year. Meltzer does it every year. It's 15 years in a row he's done it. Tim Lawson adds a great perspective also because he, like you, likes to take advantage of rewards programs. And everyone has different perspectives. My favorite from last year was I, like I talk about getting diamond status and diamond elite and going on free cruises through Caesars. Yeah. And their rewards and Meltzer's, and I said, just need to take $5,000 up to Tahoe in a 10 times points, you know, a weekend and play there. He got mad at you. And he got mad at me. He's like, I don't have, you know, I might not have $5,000 or $10,000 lying around and my response was, you know, Marie Antoinette, let them eat cake. Just borrow it from Kiel. Meltzer, stop it. Meltzer and I got into it a little bit yesterday also

5:06because I was making the point that, it was actually one of our listeners who was, you know, who made the point. He works at the RIA. He was talking about all the prices of things. And he finished his tweet by saying, Vegas has forgotten, you know, they've lost track of the Golden Goose. 100%, right? Which I agree with, which is the old notion that the reason that Las Vegas was, what made Las Vegas so great was, they knew that we get your money in the casino, they made everything else affordable. And with corporate ownership, they've lost sight of that. And Meltzer digs his heels in on this. It's a part of the podcast. He really takes the Vegas side of it. He goes, the numbers do not bear that out. Is basically what he's saying. So when I go to Manhattan and I can get a slice of pizza for $1.50 in Midtown Manhattan. That's right. Or in Times Square. But when I go to Buddy V's in the, in Caesars in the food court and it's 12.95, he doesn't feel him being out. Well, the gentleman who, from the RIA who wrote that was happy that I pushed back on it because I don't, I don't agree. We live it.

6:07We see it every day. You know, when you go to the high-end restaurants and it's a great experience, but you just get an old-fashioned cocktail and it's $24. A pineapple martini's $24. I mean, how could you not say there's gouging going on? That was the beginning portion of the podcast where we sort of set the negative part of Vegas and then it became a love letter. But there's lots of positives. Oh, there are. There are. We'll get into some of that stuff here or some of your thoughts on that side of things. I want to start where Dal and Cuff left off. He's on Michigan State tonight. You are as well. Yeah, what's this? Michigan who hasn't covered since what Thanksgiving? It seems like a team that's scuffling, a team that struggled against Ohio State, played a Nebraska team that was missing two of their best players and was down at halftime. And now they're favored at Sparty, who's playing very well. I don't, I think, wrong team favored. This was a big bet for me. I am on Sparty.

7:07Okay. Let's go to Super Bowl 60. Before we get into some theoreticals, let's talk about a couple of specific bets. Drake May, first quarter under 46 and a half passing yard. So this hits all the narrative buttons. So we all know that the second halves of Super Bowl tend to be higher scoring than the first halves. I believe it's 18, seven and one. The last 26 Super Bowls teams are conservative. They start out slow. And then all heck can break loose in the second half, all heck. And secondly, get that finger ready on the button. You know, we've already had Rick, Rickens, um, a doctor, Bob's always a loose cannon and then, and Fezick, you never know. So I also think that Drake May has struggled, obviously, ball control in the playoffs. So I think knowing, I'm going to be very careful with the ball in the first quarter. So Drake may under 46 pass yards, first quarter. I don't know who's going to get the ball. It's about 50, 50. Obviously, if Seattle starts with the ball, it's a great bet.

8:08Oh, but that's a good point that you just made there. Don't gloss over that. No real edge on who gets the ball first in this matchup. Yeah, and I have to tell you this, maybe this shouldn't bother me, but it just, it's so anger's me. Yes. Every year, this is the time of year that people that don't bet any of this stuff do this drives me crazy. Pretend to be experts and now they go and I just listened to a 20 minute podcast from these guys that think they're the smartest people in the world and they're talking about the coin toss and betting and should it be minus 105, should the books be minus 103? And they go on and on and on and on. Never mentioning that they're actually our advantageous plays with the coin toss. And this was one of the best plays that was out there, not whether it would be heads or tails, but who would start with the ball? Because it's not always 50, 50. Without going into great detail further, there are advantage players, like they'll take advantage of the comp points, like as a promo sometimes, like Caesar says put, heads plus 100 tails plus 100. So if we have extra money sitting around, I'm sorry Mark Meltzer, maybe it can't take advantage

9:08of this one, you know, Gil bets 20,000 heads, I bet 20,000 on tails. We both, we break even, we both ask for a food comp and we help our status. So there's a lot of meat on the bone. And yet I'm hit with non-stop tails, never fails. Or maybe we go heads now and what's the historical stuff and should I be betting on this or not? And I'm not saying that that's, it's not interesting, but why not talk about the advantage side of it? Right. But this goes, by the way, clarifying we're not, we're not each betting 20,000 on the coin, tell us in the case you missed the point there. But the, this for, especially for someone in content like myself, right? Who does this every day? Kelly and I sit here for three hours every day and we do a show on this and obviously it's the run up to the Super Bowl. People want to talk about the Super Bowl. Super Bowl props have become this amazing cottage industry. So, you know, Drew Denson was the first person, I gave Drew the shout because on Tuesday he was on. And when I said to him, like, you know, I'd let it open ended. I was like, what's your props approach? And he was very contemplative about it, right?

10:09And he, he said he goes, well, he goes, I just believe the notion that people who don't have numbers and who don't bet these all year just show up for the Super Bowl and bet all these props are fooling themselves. And I said immediately, I was like, I'm, I'm so glad he gave that perspective. It's a great disclaimer to have. But even as you're saying it, and I agree with everything you're saying, right? Same, same sort of frequency on this. But I, we also have to be aware that people just aren't like you, right? They just want to have fun doing this stuff. Fair enough. Yeah, and I'm not anti-fun. Right? I mean, I'm, I'm A.O.K. My point is you don't have to beat your chest and bet like $500 on 50 props. You know, if you normally bet, you know, 100 or 200 game, and you want to bet 20 props, scale back your bets. I just have fun, bet $10 on 20, 30 things. Just recreation. I, I don't jump over my fence on the golf course, and I start screaming at people. I can't believe you spent $145. You know, that's negative EV to play this round today.

11:10I don't go to the bowling alley. That would be, what are you doing? That would be awesome if you did that. Is that Steve Fessig who just jumped over the fence to the school people who are spending all his money playing? Well, you have one more Super Bowl bet that we will get to on the other side. 19:18Minus 175. Come down a little bit, right? We had minus 190 yesterday. We were talking about it. I think that's probably the, the absolutely correct favorite, but I wouldn't blame minus 175 on that. No chance. I wouldn't either. I think the Patriots do get interesting here. I think we've, we've heard a couple things about people betting Trave on, uh, Trave on Henderson, like a long rushing props and stuff. Like, you know, if he, because he had a couple games this year where he busted out with big, big games. So use those as an example, right? I think if I, I'm just saying, if I were someone betting some of those Henderson props, I'd be sprinkling in this market to a 25 to one, right? If you think he's going to rip off a 60 yard run or something like that, I think it's worth playing into this. I don't know that we see a massive running, running game out of either side in this, right? Like we talked about this a little bit earlier in the week. Yes, I think Seattle will look to find that early and obviously Patriots would love to do that too. I have a feeling, Jake May, I already bet that over on May rushing, uh, yards. I think May is involved heavily in this running game, uh, come next Sunday. So six to one is probably fairish skill, but I don't know if that intrigues me a little bit.

20:21Drake May most rushing. Yeah, six to one. I'll end up on that. Wow. Would you do this was a, if this was a game in the middle of this exercise. This was a game in the middle of a Sunday morning with 10 other games and they happen to put up props. Would you bet it? No, no, no, no, probably not. But like, this is the, this is the other thing I don't like the Super Bowl props. Because I know we're going to have this conversation a lot over the next two weeks, right? There is the NFL for me and I can't speak for everybody, right? Like we often ask that question. I think it's very fair to ask. Um, the NFL does change for me once we get in the playoffs, right? Like I don't have as many games that I'm looking through. So like, I've got a little bit more time to focus on props. Happens to me in the NBA playoffs too. Like I don't bet as much player props during the season. Get the playoffs. Let's me a little bit more time. Is it end of the day better than what a week 14, you know, betting the NFL will be? Maybe it's a wash, maybe not, you know what I mean? But, uh, yeah, at least it allows me to focus in more, do the homework and hopefully take away some lessons just from that. Um, we try to say everything in two weeks leading up to Super Bowl. I just thought of something I haven't said yet this week, which I always say every, every year.

21:23What is the Super Bowl prop that flumics is the public the most year after year after year? They always put up a prop that says, will a team score three times in a row, excluding extra points, two point conversions? Will a team score three times in a row? And the casual better, the average better's instinct is saying, no, he's, I mean, the best team in the AFC, the best team in the NFC scoring three times in a row is probably unlikely, right? And then they look at the number and they say, the yes is heavily juiced. My God, I should absolutely take the know it's plus money. It happens all the time. That's the prop that always gets people. You know, he knows the funniest about that. You do a great job of bringing that up every single year. The, I definitely like raised my hand. I like, I remember back, you know, 20 years ago, whenever you'd first, like, you know, betting this stuff and be like, oh, yeah, that's got to be mispronounced everybody's first reaction. I remember being my first reaction back in the day, too, yep. Most, most receiving yards is that the next one? Yeah, most receiving yards. JSN, Jackson Smith and Jigbo minus 185.

22:24Everybody else eight to one or longer. I think that's right, too, though. This one, this one's way tougher for me to look at one of the dogs, right? Like JS said, oh, he's done all season. We've said this is the beginning of the season. He's the only guy there. He still gets targeted all the time and has massive games. There's no Marvin Mims junior home run hitter here. I mean, I guess you could, you could talk yourself into Rashid Shaheed, but really we've seen it just as much as a, as a returner and a rusher as we have as a receiver, right? And that, yeah, and that's another one I don't, I would not bet 22 to one here. I'd rather have 25 to one on a Super Bowl MVP. Agree, agree. That's the thing, right? Always look at which market suits your conviction the most, which is commensurate with your conviction for the best bang for your buck. All right, I'll try to be an adult. He is a he is a one of a kind. I'm he really is. He was about, you know, after this football career, he like became an actor. He was so not a football player. First, in fact, he took a year off in the middle of his middle of career. And after 1979, the skins lost the game 3534 at Dallas to knock him out of the playoffs last game of the season.

26:37He had like a huge like 80 yard run in that game. And he just quit. He just quit. That's wild. And so he didn't play the 1980 season and then Joe Gibbs got the job before the 1981 season. And Joe Gibbs, after getting the job, his first thing he did is he traveled to Kansas, met with John Riggins and begged him to come back. And John Riggins is famous quote when he came back was, I'm bored. I'm broken. I'm back. And Riggins continued his career and then he got to, you know, become Super Bowl MVP. He still holds the postseason rushing yards record. Like that's incredible because there were four games in 1982. Yeah. Yeah. But like, well, the sake one, I think had four last year, he's third on that. Well, there's four games now, right? Same thing now, but back then it wasn't an omelie to have four. But yes, there are four dude. He was, he was gated over a hundred yards and every one of those games and not just the hundred and one or two. 187. Rosie, though, he played really well 10 under. He's a guy that, and I've looked at it a couple of times early this season, like wanted to play him, wanted to play him. I just think some of the commentary out there about Rose's fair of as these guys get get older and kind of getting that later stage of their career. They're going to be selective with where they play, how they tune up to play these some of these events and just makes it a little bit more. I'm basically a little bit more worrisome to go and bet one of those guys heavily outside of a big time offense. So that's kind of where I'm out with Rose.

It kind of swung back to that range. So clearly there was a lot of people going to bought a lot of golden state.

38:52They kind of sold some. That's, I mean, again, these prediction markets are what happens kind of cool. Look at it. Some of that all takes as a brine wind horse report and then people go crazy. And then they have the backlash or I should say the resistance happens. Like I like the history tracking, right? Because you can see where the spike happened in the morning. There's a lot of selling off on Golden State. Now Windhorse has to be aware of his power in this, right? Uh, he is. I mean, I listen to that podcast regularly. Those guys are uncomfortable at this point with how, with how much betting markets can move off of things. What's interesting about them, you're talking about Brian Windhorse. Give me the other Tim Bond. Tempts to see. Bond tabs in McMahon. I would argue that more than any other like football podcast, set of experts or even baseball, they are for whatever reason when it comes to betting markets, they are the most influential. It's interesting that it ended up being them. Well, the one, the one that I think that immediately jumps to mind for me is the, uh, the MVP poll that Bond Tempts does. That's right. And that's like, that makes sense. That's right. Like he's pulling a lot of people that are directly involved in the voting.

39:54I think if you're smart, better, you should be aware of this stuff. Um, it's been extremely predictive over the years. It's a great bit that they do, but it leads directly into betting. Yeah. Yep. All right. You've got the Drake May, uh, bet here. Still going? Yeah, Drake May over 33 and a half rushing yards. I have not added anything for the Super Bowl yet. Um, I look at Lincey Addle. I'll end up with some type of bet on Seattle. But, uh, waiting to see where that goes. Like you said, man, you, you, you and I usually don't say things like this. Especially in a big game like the Super Bowl. I really thought we'd see six on this game, but I guess there's still time. There's still time. I really thought we would. So that's all I got no, no NBA tonight kind of looking at the raptors a little bit. I haven't played anything yet though. Chris Velika was on earlier from Fox Sports, pardon me. But he's taken Penn plus five and a half and then Yale and Dartmouth take it each other on under one fifty three and a half from Dalin earlier on the show. And then Steve Fezick show it up with some plays. Fezick has Michigan state plus one quick to make the disclaimer that he knows, give Dalin's play is a little better than his. Yeah. I could see it in Fezick's eyes. What I was doing, he caught on to what I was doing because like I, if the, if the guest doesn't provide us with a number, I try to be nice. And I give him the best number that I see. Yeah. But Fezick rightly so he was not, it's not one of the most widely available

41:58numbers. Uh, so he's got Michigan state plus one. He's got Drake May first quarter under forty six and a half passing yards. And he's got total points in the second half over twenty two and a half points. Hopefully, hopefully you heard his reasoning for both of those in that game. So uh, Fezick firing of that, then he was, he was talking about some prediction market stuff he was doing that, you know, not on the board here where he's got New England positions on the money line. He might middle himself in the end with some stuff. I don't know. I think Chris just told me too. He saw, uh, he saw a Donald and plus one sixty for MVP on cows. Are you serious? Oh, wow. Can we talk about that for a second? Because again, two weeks to talk about this and I try to, as the two weeks go on, we try to hit on every little point MVP voting for the Super Bowl. We haven't said this this week, even in your absence, Kelly, when you were gone for two days. Hey, real quick. More money bet on Yannis next team or Super Bowl MVP. Yannis next team. Because that's where the prediction, the prediction market is the only place that offers that pretty much, not the only place and don't cut yourself running for that

43:01Donald number plus one twenty two. Oh, there you go. Um, that's how quickly it moves. So Super Bowl MVP voting, right? This is the other thing we should kind of throw into the mix because I've been saying all a week and I think Will Hill said the same thing, which is I think if Seattle wins, right? The path for someone besides Donald to win to me is so narrow. Like what has to happen for them not to go with the Donald narrative? This guy that people have crapped on for his whole career. Even last year when they had the great year, he saw the two bad games at the end. What a story this is. Um, Drake made great story with New England, probably not a natural play besides him on the New England side. But those paths, I could see people voting against May sooner than I could them against Donald if Seattle wins. If that makes any sense, but I just want to make this point. Remember with MVP voting, the votes kind of come in earlyish, right? Yeah, they don't, you don't see them waiting till the end of the game on some of these.

44:03So sometimes if something happens late in the game, it doesn't really factor in to some of these votes that has always been a moving target with MVP voting. They used to, by the way, they used to announce it while the game was going on. Yeah, I'll try, I'll try to pull up the details now. I believe it's like at the two minute warning, right? They start us to be supposed to be the two minute warning. Now think how ridiculous that is. Yeah, that all these NFL games that get decided within the last two minutes, there could be some hero, right? Last second pass catch, you know, rush, whatever it is, sack, fumble, recovery, whatever it is, kickoff return, and it won't matter if it happens that late. The members of the 16 person panel are asked to submit their ballots around the time of the two minute warning. Members can write down one name for each team, leaving a note to select the pair for the winning team. Members are also free to quickly change their selection in the final two minutes. If the game gets free to change, how many do you think actually do that? I wonder, I think if something wildly changes in the game, I would hope.

45:06Yeah, but we don't know for a fact that they don't want to look at it. It is. Oh, they look like idiots recently.
