This is Entertainment and celebrity news today, every story, every day. Carolyn Bussett Kennedy, famous as CBK after mirroring John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1996, grew up with two older twin sisters, Lauren and Lisa, born in 1964. Their parents divorced when the girls were young, and their mom later remarried. New books are now shedding light on the twins' lives alongside their sister's story with the Kennedy air. Lauren studied at Holbart and William Smith Colleges, while Lisa went to the University of Michigan. Lauren landed a job at Morgan Stanley in 1993, worked in Hong Kong for years, and rose to Vice President. She was known as professional and driven, fitting right into the New York Finance world. The sisters stayed tight-knit, with the twins watching over Carolyn through childhood and beyond. Lauren even bought an apartment in Triveca near her sister and brother-in-law's place, and her office set across from Kennedy's magazine, George. That pulled her deeper into their social scene.

Tragedy struck on July 16, 1999, when Lauren joined John and Carolyn on a small plane to drop her off en route to a family, wedding. Kennedy was piloting, but the aircraft plunged into the Atlantic Ocean at night, killing all three. Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board later pinned it on pilot air from spatial disorientation in hazy, dark conditions over. A memorial followed soon after in Connecticut, and today Lisa remains the only surviving beset sister as books revisit their family bond. Support for this DNN episode comes from our sponsor.
