Bessent: US–China Trade Deal Could Be Signed Next Week; Hurricane Melissa Accelerates Toward Bermuda

During an interview on Fox Business on Thursday morning, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the United States and China could sign a trade agreement as soon as next week. He also said the United States would enact a one-year suspension of Entity List restrictions. China has agreed to purchase millions of metric tons of U.S. soybeans in the coming years, said Bessent.
