Bears Make Darnell Wright NFL’s Highest-Paid RT! Tyrique Stevenson’s Last Chance?

The Chicago Bears have officially secured one of the biggest building blocks of their offense—and Darnell Wright just made NFL history.

On today’s episode of Chicago Bears Central, Haize reacts to Wright signing a massive four-year, $116 million contract extension with $93 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid right tackle in NFL history and keeping him under contract through 2030.

After signing the deal, Wright delivered a simple message to Bears fans:

“Excited to get my extension done. Let’s get it. Go Bears!”

The former No. 10 overall pick has become one of the NFL’s premier young tackles in only three seasons. Wright earned second-team All-Pro honors while helping Chicago produce the league’s third-best rushing attack and allow the second-fewest sacks during the regular season.

But Wright’s extension is only one of today’s major Bears stories.
