Bearcats Survive Utah's Comeback, Advance in Big Twelve

Graduate-wing Jalen Celestine lit it up with a season-high 19 points, hitting 6 of his 9-3 pointers. Senior forward Baba Miller nashed his 13th double-double of the year with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists. The Bearcats shook off a rough start, closing the first half on a 12-0 run to lead 29-20 at the break. They built the advantage to 15 points midway through the second half before Utah clawed back late. Utah stay close thanks to Junior Guard Terrence Brown, who let all scores with 22 points and heated up in the final minutes. But Cincinnati held firm, making key free throws and a goal-10 call to seal it down the stretch. Sophomore Center Mustafa Tiam added another double-double with 14 points and 10 boards, while freshman Kishwan Tilleri sparked the bench. With 8 points including timely threes and hustle plays, as the ninth seed, Cincinnati advances to face 8 seeded UCF in the second round Wednesday at 2 p.m. Central Time on ESPN new, keeping their tournament run alive.
