Bayeux Tapestry makes historic return to England

The 70-metre long embroidered fabric tells the story of King William the Conqueror's invasion of Britain, the Battle of Hastings, and is on special loan from France. Is it on Malon? Has more. Well King Charles has taken a step back in time, inspecting the 1000-year-old document that maps out his family tree. The hand-stitched marvel dating back to 1066, the Bayer tapestry is on display at the British Museum. Online from France, French President Emmanuel Macron was there too. The 70-metre masterpiece telling the story of the King's ancestor William the Conqueror who took the throne from King Harold after the Battle of Hastings, a battle that changed the course of history, reshaping England's culture and language.

1:06It also tells the story of the beginning of what I like to think of as the French side of my family's history in these islands. This is the first time the 58th scene tapestry has been seen in England since it was made, and it's a history Brits really want to see in person. More than 80,000 tickets have already been snatched up. The exhibit sold out until December.
